  1. Worry about that after you’re officially assigned (and hopefully have the cabin capacity issuer sorted).
  2. We did this when we were 4 points short a long time ago... but it was also much cheaper back then and we were flexible and live an hour from PC. If the numbers work for you, go for it!
  3. It was mostly a joke but it would be cool. Symphony is the only ship missing from my Oasis class bingo card. 🙁
  4. Figuring out why the app isn't behaving properly is often an exercise in futility. Have you tried using the website instead of the app?
  5. It's a sports bar with standard bar food that I personally think is very good. Love the burgers, garlic parm fries, and onion rings. No reservations. A la carte menu that can be found in the app. Was there anything else you needed explained?
  6. Also don't forget to add in that each person gets $20/day (I think that's the amount) to use at Playmakers.
  7. Forecasts are unreliable the day before let alone several days to a week out. Add that to the earlier comments and don’t worry about it.
  8. Check the current sailing in the app for the menu. FYI, the lunch menu contains most of the dinner menu minus a few items. Definitely more than just pizza.
  9. For future reference, a poster here created a cool little document that lets you see the cruise planner for cruises which you haven't actually booked. Just make sure you are NOT logged in to your RC account when using it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ukT6gOPcu7coL92LuDcyDaWXQfO88u5kN9FEdHRj5bM/edit?pli=1#gid=0
  10. Understood, that's why I asked for "general directions" if you couldn't share a link. Thanks. Totally get that. I've only become a daily reader/contributor in recent years now that we're able to cruise a bit more often but that's how I learned much of what I know. We cruise mostly for the ship and try to do one long excursion plus CocoCay per cruise (just works well for us between personal preference, cost, etc.). Costa Maya quickly becomes a non-excursion port between lack of interest and it's an early departure on our usual Western itinerary. We enjoyed a smaller beach club there many years ago but it's not appealing to us to go to a beach club when all-aboard is 1:30pm. Thanks for the ongoing Mexican port knowledge. I'll go try to find that blog now.
  11. Sailed her in March, boarding this Sunday, and have one more in July... I believe I've seen $76.99-$81.99pp or so. I don't purchase it but I do like window shopping for the heck of it.
  12. FWIW, unless things have changed since March or it's different with the cooler bag or varies by ship, the flavors onboard are Strawberry Lemonade (my preference), Wild Berry, and Pineapple.
  13. This is to be used onboard (where you pay full price for one person and the other is free). It doesn't apply when you book pre-cruise (at a discount). If you don't want to cancel, once onboard you can try to have them applied and they will likely take care of it one way or another but that's up to you.
  14. @c-leg5 Got a link or general directions for it? Will be there next week and just going to walk around the port for a bit then get back on the ship. TIA!
  15. Ah, OK. I think it might have been the same deal as BF, 40% off (that's when I booked our Mason Jar brunches). I was on a cruise for one of those random national whatever day deals in October, so it was possibly that one. A woman was trying to book it onboard at Giovanni's while I was behind her waiting to change our reservation and it was a mess. I get why you cancelled Chops (and also why you grabbed it of course). I'm already in the minority for enjoying WJ if you get there early on embarkation day. I know lots of people enjoy specialty lunch after boarding but even on ships I've been on before I still enjoy wandering a little and then making the rounds to WJ and other included venues, randomly grabbing a drink, and doing whatever until 1:00 when rooms are ready. I'd rather be settled in before having a huge special meal. You know we don't do a ton of specialty either (and Playmakers counts in my book, lol, I have to pay extra, that's special) so I look forward to those meals! We're having our anniversary dinner this Sunday at Giovanni's Kitchen (with our first ever D+ BOGO, woohoo) so I have to reel it in when we board and not go nuts in WJ and ELF and wherever before dinner like I normally do (as my wife keeps reminding me).
  16. I could say it's a Philly thing but who doesn't like steak and I'm sure people would order a wide range of Italian dishes. FWIW, my wife always got the risotto with her filet and it was good too but I love carbonara. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and can't beat those lunch deals from Black Friday (pretty sure that's when you purchased it).
  17. Yeah, Symphony's current standard itinerary has her docking here on Sundays. It's the only Oasis class ship missing from my bingo card but at least I'll get to see her. Someone at the other site will be on Symphony next week and we joked about an excursion to visit the ship next door.
  18. Have heard that many times. Never tried Chops b/c we liked GT from the start and wife is picky. I also like getting a pasta dish with my steak rather then the usual potatoes, mac n cheese, whatever (nothing against those sides of course, I just like variety and lots of food). We're trying Giovanni's Kitchen for the 1st time a week from today. Menu works for both of us, actually even more things my wife will eat, and I want to try a pizza (probably to-go b/c I don't know how you're supposed to eat pizza in the middle of a full Italian dinner with bread, apps, entree, pasta, dessert, etc.) I can eat but there's a limit, lol.
  19. Our long time favorite specialty restaurant although have only done dinner there. My usual order is the meat & cheese plank, carbonara, and filet. Enjoy!
  20. Hopefully the casino department doesn't ever learn to do math... that upgrade price is absurd, lol.
  21. If you enjoy gambling and would likely gamble anyway, I don't blame you!
  22. The 2nd formal night should be "Royal Night" which has lobster. You can find menus in the app.
  23. Yep, could be. My pre-booked specialty dining is listed under the reservation section so pretty sure you're correct about that part.
  24. Yeah, that's my default explanation. I'll be constantly checking for stuff to populate since we sail a week from today so maybe dining will randomly pop up... maybe not.
  25. @BillOh Happy Cruise Day! Looking forward to reading your thoughts while I’m onboard the following week!
