  1. We moved our cancelled family cruise from April to December on Enchanted. Everyone eager to go. All fingers crossed.
  2. No detail from Princess but we've always kept detailed records so were able to reconcile to the penny.
  3. They come in bits and pieces. We used 2 cards and while they all came in on the same day they were 7 transactions. DW keeps detailed records and balanced to the penny.
  4. I hadn't checked but we were 75 days from option selection to refund credited to our CC companies. Then a week before they hit our accounts. So 82 days in total. Early on we were told 90 days to completion so we weren't panicking yet.
  5. Our April 12 family cruise was cancelled and we selected Option 1 on March 12. We received our FCC in mid-April and used it for a replacement December cruise on Enchanted. All of our CC refunds hit their accounts today, having been processed on May 29. It would have been nice if this had all been done quicker but we understand the enormity of this effort and are not overly upset. Hopefully Princess management and especially their IT department will come away with some lessons learned. We worked with a Princess Cruise Specialist to track the FCC and refunds and a couple of front line Princess Reps to book and configure the new cruise with the most efficient use of the FCC. We went from 6 people in 2 mini-suites to 7 in 3 mini-suites - not as complicated as some but not the simplest either. I truly don't care if it sounds like cheerleading, but everyone we spoke with was friendly, efficient and gave us the best information they had in a very fluid situation. We may never cruise with Princess again after December but it has nothing to do with their handling of this problem. Celebrity is our preferred line and this cruise was booked more for our kids and grandkids than us. Good luck to all. Patience is a virtue.
  6. Makes sense. I had an email exchange early in this process with a Princess Cruise Specialist. She was very good helping us straighten out the FCC for our group and distribute it across the new cruise. Thanks.
  7. My wife saw an article a couple of weeks ago about the break even point for newer ships vs older. Ships like Enchanted have a much lower break even than most - somewhere around 1/3 of their passenger limit. I wouldn't mind seeing the passenger count cut down a bit to give everyone a little space. Not that it would be a cure-all, but it would probably lower some folks' stress level.
  8. I don't know that too many regular cruisers expect the same experience as in the past. I know we don't. We're booked on Enchanted for 12/12/20 and hopefully the CDC mandated processes will have been in place long enough to have the kinks worked out.

Last I chatted with Princess about Enchanted the line was that all Europe cruises would be cancelled (they have), she would make the voyage to Ft Lauderdale with no pax as a shakedown for the crew, then pick up with the Caribbean season. A lot factors into that, of course, but I hope it's right since we rebooked our cancelled April to 12/12 on her.

If you do not have the original card, contact Princess Cruises Gift Card Customer Service at giftcardsupport@princesscruises.com or 1-855-426-0168, and a new Princess Cruises Gift Card will be sent to you.
  12. This is only our second cruise with Princess, booked to meet the schedules for daughters and granddaughters, and we'll return to our preferred line next year. But it's still sad to see so many long timers abandoning the relationship based on a once in a lifetime problem.
