    Laundry

It's still available, just not complimentary. If you'd known it wasn't, you wouldn't have booked Silversea?
  2. Mahogany

    Laundry

Regent does free laundry for every passenger, service not related to days sailed.
  3. Yes, he/she said on Celebrity Equinox Roll Call they were being trolled on another cruise line's Cruise Critic posts. and wanted to change the account name.
  4. OK, but I'm still wondering why you didn't report this outrageous behavior toward the women who opted to hide from it. You obviously weren't shy about reporting other issues.
  5. And you believed these "few men"? 😏 Maybe it was the men asking their wives to stay in their rooms! Just kidding! But this is really unbelievable, Tony UK. On my many Seabourn cruises, I have never encountered any "sniggering, pointing". Can you please elaborate on how these shamed women were acting/dressed to encourage this outrageous reaction? 👉
  6. My comment about ball caps was referring to the evening dress code. I too wear a ball cap during the day for sun protection, but not during dinner or in the bars and theater at night.
  7. I thought poster was referring to ballcaps which don't belong inside restaurants, maybe inside at all.
  8. But isn't the wood furniture in the Classic suites, Original, as in, never been replaced?
  9. Aren't those the elevators?
  10. Did I miss a date for Beefbar in Symphony? And the press release of the September tasting says "family-style food". Wha does that mean? Those photos don't look like MY family food! 😁
  11. I wanted to try aft-facing, so did do on Splendor this past summer. It was 232 steps from my G2 aft suite to the forward lift, few more to the showroom. I guess it depends on whether you want more exercise, or just get tired of all that walking - and you can't enter Compass Rose from the stern.
  12. I went to Antarctica in 2012 on Le Boreal and it was a memorable experience. The ship was chartered by A & K, though, and the whole voyage was first-language English. I had heard that on Le Ponant ships, French was the first language. Was that your experience?
  13. You are making a "light" conversation depressing. Laugh, it's all in fun!
  14. Speaking of swimwear: you're right, there isn't a distinction that I know of. IMHO speedo-type swimwear should be outlawed if your belly hangs over the fabric! And bikinis look fabulous on fabulous bodies (which I unfortunately never had!).
  15. What did you infer/conclude from this? Was the second leg from a more fashion-conscious (whatever that means!) country/locale?
  16. Geez! Which is more important - scenery or "getting-where-you-need-to-be"? 🙃
  17. Did you enjoy Jacques on Oceania? I really like French food and quite happy this summer with Chartreuse - but I think a few dishes (e.g., Dover sole) were better in Jacques.
  18. Davey: are these attractive zero SS on Crystal in their non-balcony or small cabins? with the refurbishment, I fear a suite the size of standard SS, SB, and Regent, is out of range.

    Silver Note

I find Regent's reservation procedure overly restrictive. But fair, I guess. Perhaps Silversea could limit Silver Note only reservations (where obviously the problem exists) to 2/week. Though that's sort of what Lemorvan has been criticized for doing: 10 for 32 nights. 😀 But don't you tire of the menu?!
  20. I'm on the transpacific in September from Vancouver to Tokyo. Whittier has been exchanged for Seward but Ketchikan is still on the itinerary, not swapped out as for Port Power.
  21. I was on Regent Splendor this summer and had never booked an aft suite. Thought looking at the wake would be relaxing (boring instead). Splendor is about the same size as Silver Ray (which I will sail on this December). I never realized how much walking I had to do since I am usually mid-ship (230 steps to the forward lift). But you're probably in better shape than I!
  22. When I sailed Viking Ocean, I would have preferred complimentary spirits to leather luggage tags.
  23. I think that you forget you're eating in a venue that is larger than your normal restaurant where your dish may be tailored to your specific taste. When you are cooking for a large group, many will like it mild, some hot. I have never had a problem when ordering specifying that I would prefer my dish spicier than normal. Just ask.
  24. On Venture last spring, I was disappointed that when we didn't dock, we were taken ashore by zodiac, not tender. When I asked the tender driver, she said, "but then, you would miss this experience!". Yeah, well, I WANTED to miss that experience of wind, sea spray, difficulty of entering and exiting the zodiac. This voyage was from Spain to England
