  1. This website has the menus for the Discovery Princess, but they should be pretty much the same for all 7 day itineraries. https://eatsleepcruise.com/discovery-princess-restaurant-guide-with-menus/
  2. While that is true to some extent, we just recently got off a Royal Caribbean ship in Miami and they did have the facial recognition system in their terminal, so obviously the technology is used at Port Miami. I was a bit surprised that Virgin did not have the latest technology at their terminal.
  3. I wasn't saying there was nothing I liked to drink, it's just my very favorite things aren't there. And the Powerade was available at the buffet. My substitute for the Dasani flavored waters has been the flavored Powerade zero. I like combining raspberry and lemon. And I could always switch to the low cal lemonade as well. I think it would be hard to find nothing you could drink, just might not be your first choice. I definitely will not be asking for a refund.
  4. Currently on board the Symphony and there is definitely not the selection there used to be in the Freestyle machines. Flavored iced teas don't show up at all. The flavored Dasani still water has shown up as unavailable on every machine I've tried. The sparkling version only has plain and lemon. They have had the flavored Powerade (both regular and zero calorie), but today they were out of that at the Park Cafe. I'll try the buffet later. They do still have lemonade and sodas. I really miss the flavored water and iced tea.
  5. For our upcoming Symphony cruise, I was able to purchase arcade credits (for DH) for 20% off on the cruise personalizer. They had them in $25, $50 and $100 credits. I'll try to remember to come back and let you know how that worked out.
  6. Prof. Cruise has some of the menus that were being test earlier on the Symphony. We sail on Saturday and the app only shows the kids menus.
  7. Personally, the only time I would consider a soda package on any cruise line is on Royal ships that have the Freestyle machines. I am not a big soda drinker, but I do like the flavored waters and flavored iced teas that you can get.
  8. I've never had a problem with the porters in Miami, but I do always have my tip money out and ready to go.
  9. I'm not referencing the validity either. I guess I just have better ways to spend my time than worrying about $31. If you feel the need, go right ahead. You do you.
  10. Since the ships are identical, I imagine that the list would also be the same, but hopefully, somebody can confirm that.
  11. I'm trying to help a friend find a transfer from Ft. Lauderdale airport to Port Everglades. She's in a foldable scooter, and can walk short distances but cannot use stairs. I know the Princess transfers would work for her, but they are sold out (she booked last minute). What are her best options to get from the airport to the port?
  12. We are on the Symphony in just under two weeks and there are 6 different debark tours (3 to Ft. Lauderdale and 3 to Miami) with airport drop off ranging in price from $74pp to $149pp.
  13. When we were on in July, Brunch was not widely attended at either the Wake or Razzle Dazzle. It was possible to get same day reservations most days.

    Gift Card

Sailor loot can be used for casino play, but cannot be cashed out at the casino.
  15. I was kind of bummed too. But the drag show in the Manor is a lot of fun and I hear the drag bingo is also a blast.
  16. As far as I know, while they announced a drag brunch before sailings started happening, it has never actually occured with actual passengers on the ships.

    Gift Card

Sailor loot (and bar tab) are use it or loose it.
  18. I understand being upset by this, but a class action lawsuit over a $31 purchase (even IF you could win) just doesn't make sense. Simply never buy the card again.
  19. All I care about is that the time on the ship matches the time in the ports. Otherwise it gets very confusing to me.
  20. Personally, I never pay any attention to the "percent" off with Royal. Only the bottom line price matters. I have seen things at 30% off be cheaper than the same things at 50% off.
  21. I know Allure doesn't have Hooked, but just FYI, they can make a non-seafood meal. We have a friend who was allergic to seafood (his wife loves it) and they were able to accomodate him.
  22. Most cruise ship pools are fairly empty before 9 or 10 in the morning.
  23. Search on the Ports of Call boards for reputable third parties. And unless things have changed recently, you can name tour operators just not travel agents.
  24. We are fairly early risers and on sea days (when most people are sleeping in) we had no problems at The Galley. It was on a port day when everyone was trying to get ready to go out and about that it was more of an issue.
  25. It may depend on when your cruise is as well. I think any of the ships doing pre-booking won't start until cruises beginning in December and I believe it is only Oasis class and Quantum class ships. We have a cruise on Symphony in December and some time the beginning of this month, I was able to pre-book all four major shows. The times do not show up until you start the reservation process where you will then get a choice of the available dates and times. Anything underlined in red, means that there is some sort of conflict with another of your bookings such as dinner.
