  1. we were on Enchanted in Nov 2022 and June 2024, and the menu has changed quite a bit (but not 100%). You can compare them if you look in my reviews for both cruises.
  2. I fully agree. same. Especially when school holiday dates can change at any moment when we are booking a cruise 2 years in advance.
  3. I'd do my own beach excursion. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2883292-ncl-fun-beach-express/
  4. I didn't realize at the time of ordering how bad it would be. The menu didn't say "a side of canned beans." Plus, I am usually interested only in meat... It wasn't the only entree with this side - time after time I was wondering what the heck was happening with Princess food which I had always found to be great. We do love Princess, mostly for its food, though, and I already booked our next year's Princess cruise (also on Enchanted) and I am thinking about booking Regal for 2026, but they really have to rethink the beans.
  5. Princess had wonderful desserts on Enchanted in Nov 2022 (buffet and IC). I raved about them in my review (see signature). This time (June 2024) I was sorely disappointed - none of the desserts I had in 2022 were present.
  6. definitely does. We drank sodas, specialty coffees and bottled water on the disembarkation morning. Wakeview bar was open and had no line, but I am not sure they were serving alcohol.
  7. I wouldn't know about Celebrity, but we did enjoy most of the MDR and buffet food on Reflection... Some of it was excellent. Especially escargot - couldn't get enough! 🙂 But when I compare 2024 Enchanted food to 2022 Enchanted food and pre-covid Princess food, I can tell that it's gotten a lot more boring and basic. I am totally fine with hotel banquet food. But beans with a steak, Princess? Seriously? I am not picky, but even I was side eyeing this masterpiece: in what book is this a good choice? I'll take fries or mashed potatoes or broccoli or a veggie medley instead of this canned response.
  8. palapas are usually free because they are a part of a public beach. Umbrellas and chaises are available for a fee.
  9. still are. Especially since there was a marked downward difference in Princess food since our 2023 Enchanted cruise compared to our 2024 Enchanted cruise.
  10. hmm, strange. We really enjoyed Reflection, but it was an 8 night cruise. It was our first Celebrity cruise. my husband got covid on both Reflection and Enchanted cruises (2 months apart).
  11. over the years my CVP only offered me a $25 OBC once. That's it. No discounts or Princess Plus, or anything else. What else can a dedicated CVP do?
  12. I have just encountered the opposite for our May 2025 cruise. Deluxe balconies (obstructed) show up only if you are looking for a 2 person cabin, but are hidden if you have 3 people in a cabin.
  13. in Yacht Club? or with the rest of us plebs? if the latter, no, you will not enjoy it nearly as much as Celebrity (even Celebrity's steerage class). We were in a regular inside room on Celebrity and regular balcony on MSC Seascape, and it's not even close.

  15. well, I dunno. 9 people recently died from a listeria outbreak caused by a very respected Boar's Head brand... They recalled all of their hams and other types of meat. I'd rather not take that chance. In other news...
  16. you can bring it (we do), but they will fill their own glass and then you can transfer the liquid into yours.
  17. that particular morning there weren't any around, which was very unusual. I finally found a manager and asked him to take my order instead.
  18. would Sleep Inn & Suites FLL at 1500 SE 5th Ave, Dania, FL, 33004 be better at $136 per night?
  19. you choose the delivery destination when you place an order: your location at the time of delivery or your cabin. At least that's how it worked on Enchanted in June. Not without glitches... On one of the days I could not place a drink order for delivery while I was at the buffet. The medallion showed me inside the bathroom on deck 5 near the plaza, and it was deemed an unsuitable delivery location. It stayed like that for at least a couple of hours. I had to go to the nearest bar and order my drinks there in person, like a peasant. /s
  20. they even had it at the buffet the next day. Same with mushroom risotto.
  21. we stayed at ES last April for $160, but right now their April 2025 price is $300+, while Hampton Inn North is $160. I will keep an eye on the rates... For $300 I can stay at Riverside.
  22. we were there in Nov 2023, business as usual. Yes, with a kid, and our friends were with us with 2 kids. Didn't feel unsafe at all. Oh, I have a photo from that day:
