We went to San Juan on the Sky Princess earlier this year. Five ships in that day (!), four of which including us docked very centrally. One Holland America at the more out of town Pan American. If you docked where we did, you'll be right in the Old Town. Key sights walkable. The National Parks service runs two incredible historic fort sites. To get to them, you can't help but walk through the historic old town and along the coast. Stunning views, lots of Spanish influence, and interesting history. No taxi, organised excursions etc needed. Entry to the two forts was very reasonable, $10 for both I think. A few photos. Enjoy your day!

I think the pictures of The Catch on the Sun show it as a pop up location at a rear part of the buffet, rather than a full standalone restaurant.

How odd. I'm fully prepared for my Signature Perks to be a IT error and disappear. I've never travelled in a Suite, but from chatting to those who have 'turn up when you like to dine' seems to be one of the big appeals. Not sure booking is really necessary. Have a great cruise when it comes!

Agree it would be good to hear from someone on board. We have a booked in a D0 for this summer and while it was chosen mostly for the location and big balcony, idea of Signature Perks is also nice! Looking today on the Deck Plans, still shows as "Enjoy Signature Upgrades and Benefits" and a booking on the UK mobile website brings that up too. For what it's worth, we have been able to book Signature Dining for this summer via the App. We'll see what happens...

Not sure I'm understanding the concern about privacy on the extended balconies. They have the same dividers as others, so can have the 'private' part near the room like any other balcony, or use the extended more public part of desired.

That's a great looking Diner style menu! Deck 8 I think is the floor in the MDR you can't reserve for, so this makes sense as a more casual, come as you are / when you want, menu.

We also held off booking a cabin right at the back because of potential noise / footfall. I think unlike previous ships there are public areas right at the rear of the ship - the new wakeview pool and area downstairs, the suite lounge and a speciality restaurant further up - and wonder if that's why they have some lifts right at the back?

That's exactly the attitude we're taking. We liked the location, the giant balcony, and price was good. If it comes with other perks, that's a bonus

I'm also one of the people who has booked a Premium Deluxe Balcony that says it comes with Signature benefits. While we choose it because of the location and price were right for us mainly, having Signature benefits was also part of the published benefits of the cabin as the screenshot shared above shows. People in group A and B above get plenty of benefits like their larger rooms, improved in room amenities etc.

Thanks for that intel. If they are more expensive, it was only by a few dollars. We were torn between two locations and the price difference was virtually nothing. Let's see what happens when the ship gets sailing. Thanks again

With booking of the Signature restaurant opening up on the App, we've been able to book dinner in the restaurant for our cruise. Which does make me think we might actully have Signature benefits, and there's a handful of Premium Deluxe Balcony cabins that come with them.

Can confirm I've seen that option for our July cruise and being able to book tables for the whole week.

It is included in the cruise fare. Princess seems to have added that test to every venue: looking at the Lido Taco, Burger, Pizza places etc that text also shows. I think it's just standard text and doesn't necessarily mean a charge.

Thanks for sharing. Some Main Dining Room information there that should make everyone happy! Traditional fixed dinning, book in advance 'dine your way', and just turn up all catered for.
