They were scanning sea pass cards to get into Quest on Adventure at Christmas and refusing entry for under 18s.

We were lucky enough to go by the SoL on our Anthem trip in January 2018. And even more lucky to get to go up in the NorthStar on the way by. It wasn’t advertised it was running but we asked the guy there and they took it up. This was before they started charging. Captain Ban told us afterwards that they rarely go up towards Manhattan as they need clearance from the port, time and proper weather. This is favourite photo of mine.

How big will Mr. Liberty’s bonus be this year I wonder? He does know how to make money…short term. Long term, we’ll see.

When we stopped at PC on Oasis in August, we docked at Terminal 3 where Mardi Gras docks. Wonder was at Terminal 1. Was weird getting off Oasis and everything Carnival/Mardi Gras in the terminal

Getting on Oasis Friday and stopping there next week. I plan to enjoy my day there. I am driving from Ottawa, Canada (🇨🇦😉) to Bayonne and going to the Yankees game Thursday night. I am more concerned with what could happen between me leaving my house and boarding Oasis!

We have had no problem getting JR milkshakes on Oasis and just this past week on Liberty. On Liberty we just got regular ones but were asked if we wanted alcohol in them.

Hope they will pay for my airfare...or cruise to get there!😆

Not trying to aggravate anyone that does not like the status matching of kids, etc after 18, but how many of you have no problem with having your status matched (to Elite) with Celebrity? I think the status match for kids, SO, etc is good and I think it helps Royal. I probably would not have sailed as much with Royal trying to get my kids to D by 18 and they may not continue to sail Royal as adults if they didn’t get there. It is a way to lock people into the brand (and for being loyal) just like Apple or Google and all the integration with there services.

This is exactly how I understand it to work and how it worked with our son when he turned 18 last year. He kept his diamond status but reverted to his earned 54 points. Ken, does it make a difference when the child last sailed with parents? I thought it did. Example, if child sails with parents once when they are emerald so kid becomes emerald too(kid has say 10 points) and doesn’t sail again with parents until after 18 but the parents sailed enough without child and made it to diamond before they turned 18, kid would not keep diamond status? They would only be emerald with 10 points? *long winded example I know! Edited to add…Ken, you don’t need to reply. Posted before I read you are done replying. 🙂

We made it to diamond last year before my eldest son turned 18. He was matched with our status and points (90) until he turned 18 last Sept. After he turned 18, his status stayed diamond and his points reverted to his own accumulated of 54. He would then only move up to D+ once he accumulated the required points on his own. This was the way I understood it to work and how it shows on his profile. We took a short 4 nt cruise in Dec. and his points went to 58 and status is still diamond. He also received a diamond pin from the LA and enjoyed the 4 drinks/day no problem. One thing that I was told/read somewhere was that he had to be the cruise when we hit diamond or on a cruise with us as diamond before he turned 18 for him to keep diamond after he reached 18. Based on that we made sure he was on the cruise when we hit diamond. Not sure if that is true or not or if it makes a difference?

Are you looking for the Dec. 18 cruise?

I use cruise mapper and look at their port schedules.

Not to put a damper on this, but we just got to diamond in March before our oldest turned 18 in Sept. When I look at his profile now, he has the diamond status but points reverted back to his own 56. Before September, his points still matched ours at 90. Doesn’t mean that it won’t happen but the system adjusted his pretty quick.

On Oasis last week ( Dec. 18 - 22), the curfew was midnight. 1st I have seen earlier than 1:00.
