I recently disembarked the Royal from the last short leg from Auckland to Sydney (after the multi-stop cross Pacific voyage from Vancouver).
On the final night (Sun 22nd Oct) I was queuing up for Guest Services (with around 15 others) when a lady sped through the queue with an "excuse me" & broad southern accent. I made a passing quip which turned into an extended conversation, where I learned more about here than me.
Turns out this lady is, from Alabama, is rather adventurous having jumped off the Auckland Sky Tower, was planning shark cage diving, but was off to the pajama party to cap off this voyage.
She was trying to encourage me to come "dancing" but I told her I was too old for that. When she insisted I come I told her another reason & we parted on a hug. Minor regret that I didn't go dancing, but that's what life is all about.
In amongst it all I didn't hear her name. So I've got very little to go on other than what she shared with me. All I've got I want to share here is she's early 40s, a shade over 5ft, with a delightful open attitude. She told me more about herself, but I'll not publish that here.
Apologies if this may seem inappropriate. I'm truly not wanting to find this person for anything other than friendship. Just wanting to find out how the rest of her travels went, and make sure she came back with all limbs from her under water experience.
If anyone knows this lady I'd really appreciate letting her know I'm reaching out & leave it with her to contact me.
To keep it real short,
Hi Miss Alabama from Mr New Zealand. Your delightful self managed to steal a piece in my heart with your personality & story. Hope you're doing well and keep on living your new life to the full.
And here's a couple of pics from the voyage
