Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I board Regal Princess August 12 (yep...the 12th, but thats a different topic) The QR code showed up in my app two days ago.
  2. Definitely not mandatory. If you visit on your own, you are supposed to pay a park fee, but it's not enforced. Bus tours have the fee built in. As far as a must-see, I'm on the fence because we were short on time and couldn't watch the film. If the film is worthwhile then maybe. Hopefully others can comment about that.
  3. I recall parts of the trail being muddy after you reach the top of the steps. Have there been any improvements? Thanks
  4. Riddle me this...with the 40% off premium wifi, my upcoming 10 day cruise would be $210. I called (of course I couldn't stack) and the 35% elite+ discount quoted was $200.
  5. Search on youtube...parodeejay port guides. They have recently uploaded some Alaska ports and they include a "free and frugal" section in each video.
  6. Just saw the similar thread by @Gigi1068. Could be a different ball game than I experienced with getting help by calling because of the Black Friday fiasco. Good luck.
  7. On Allure last month, they had one on the first sea day at 11:30 and the last port day at 4:30. I hadn't planned to watch it, but got caught in the crowd. Glad I did. It was awesome. I believe it's a different parade on Oasis. Hope it's as good for you.
  8. For my Halloween cruise it was over a month. When it got to the week before the cruise, I called. I used 800-398-9819 and got through pretty quick. Refund was posted the next day.
  9. Most of the crew I spoke with last week were happy with the move. Mainly because they will get free wifi at the terminal.
  10. If you have sailed Allure recently and preordered water, did you receive bottles or cans? Thanks for the assistance.
  11. First one was the Harmony, in early February. It was any easy win due to low capacity. I bid $10 over the minimum from Balcony to oversize balcony and junior suite. Got the oversize balcony. But it was under the lido with the overhang and a support beam in front of it. Next was the Odyssey in April. Went from inside to balcony for double the minimum bid. Won that one a week after I bid-about 30 days before sailing. Both of those were 7 nights. I just returned from an 8 night Mariner, and had an inside. I really wanted one of the new cabins above the spa area-Panoramic Oceanview. I kept upping my bid along the way. About 5 days out, I saw one come available to book, so I went ahead and maxed out my bid at $275. I may have gotten it cheaper, but I really really wanted that cabin. I was still all in for less than $1000 if I had booked it outright.
  12. I've had three Royal Caribbean cruises so far this year and won an upgrade on all of them. I bid on multiple option on the first two. On one, the "upgraded" cabin was in a terrible location. The other one was just okay. On the most recent one, I only bid on the exact category I really wanted and won that one. A big however though...I received the upgrade the day before the sailing.
  13. I have two cruises coming up. Both show the Call to Upgrade box. One of the bookings is definitely all inclusive, but the other one, I didn't think so. Is it wishful thinking or does having that box mean I have AI on that one as well? Thanks
