  1. EU citizens/residents have the legal right to book anywhere in the EU and cannot be forced to use their "home" country website/dealer/agent. In your case you can try a fake Italian address booking, but then you are not protected by your home countries customer rights and MSC also can cancel your booking or do whatever they want with it😄 Also your travel insurance - if you have one - could be a problem as the address on the document not matches the address in your insurance policy. When you come from a country with almost zero customer rights and no specific MSC website, let´s say Malaysia for example😉, certainly it is not a big thing, in your case I would only take the risk if it is really worth it.
  2. For € 5.250 pP you can book the Opera for the whole World Cup. Directly with MSC. They have different options with breakfast only and full board.
  3. Yeah, filling the Virtuosa in Northern Europe during winter, there is only one chance to achieve it, the shocking good prices. Oops, we booked it 😄
  4. No matter if interior, oceanview or balcony, the different size is definitely an argument. Especially when cruising with friends or family. Hanging around in a 17 m² and a 25 m² cabin is a huge difference.
  5. No. With Easy you only get the house wine. With Easy Plus you can order any glass of wine that costs € 8 or less. That gives you quite a fair selection. I would recommend to go for Easy Plus or no package, "Easy" maybe is fine for beer and cocktails, but not for wine.
  6. No, it is €13. Which MSC still exchanges to $15. Certainly this will change very very soon as the € is turning into a zombie currency very fast.
  7. It is not about EU but about Schengen, but in this case, yes, no problem. Just that no MSC cruise stops at Amsterdam as far as I know after MSC said that they don´t want to do business with these racketeers from Amsterdam port authority any more 🙂
  8. TUI Cruises and AIDA will still sail from Dubai in November. The prices are very cheap, you should consider this alternative as you have the flights already. Calling MSC is useless as you know with an agent booking. And waiting also, no MSC ship will cruise there before Dec 21 when they get their ships back from Qatar.
  9. You always can be late as long as you arrive two hours before departure. If you cannot make the 2 hours, call them! Pre Covid there were indeed stricter rules but for coming early. Especially in Genoa where sometimes you had to wait HOURS if you showed up at 10 and your time was in the afternoon. Civita usually is much more relaxed.
  10. The little bird has sung this song here many days before already 😉 You still can take the Preziosa on the 5th from Southampton, but it is a very short cruise that ends in Hamburg two days later.
  11. Indeed you can, the price is 0,86 Euro. Certainly not guaranteed that it has not changed, I never ordered it, we always buy the bottles.
  12. True, but nobody their earns less then the minumum wage of € 12.00 per hour, no matter which nationality. I know in Portugal or Greece it is much lower. Seems correct to me. Bear in mind the salary at a Pizza Hut or Dominos in Malaysia is usually around RM 5 per hour.
  13. Wow, never heard this, maybe this is the case in some places in Southern Europe. But in the North these jobs at the ports authorities are definitely good paid and attractive jobs. Same with airport lugguage, that is (one of) the reason why the passenger and airline fees at these airports are so high. Almost the same situation here, in Germany, Belgium, Holland, France ... these are very attractive jobs with high salaries. Not to speak about Norway and Scandinavia. Actually the least people I would tip are people who work for the (air)ports and tour guides, they probably earn more than me 😄 And they deserve it, no question about this.
