  1. I had no problem on the 119th day before sailing to book excursions. Prices were clearly listed. Yes the “join the waitlist” button is misleading but when I clicked on it, it immediately booked me and the reservation was listed on my Calendar. Since we are on a B2B it would not let me book the second leg, but then I realized the second leg was more than 120 days out. Since nobody can book an excursion prior to 120 days that makes it fair to wait until final payment IMHO.
  2. Per the website it says reservations not required at Tastes. Can you still make reservations ahead of boarding on the website for Tastes?
  3. My comment was probably not appropriate to the discussion. We do not cruise the luxury lines exclusively nor do we expect the MSC YC experience to match. There is no question from yours and other YC reviews that it will provide an enjoyable experience at much better value. It also appears that the included drinks based on your previous answers will meet our needs. Keep the informative reviews & comments coming.
  4. Thanks. I understand MSC is not a Luxury line and I am aware of the alcohol policy. Just spoiled cruising with Crystal, Silversea, and Seabourn.
  5. I am surprised that when you have a drinks package you can not bring your own which reduces their cost. All the luxury all inclusive lines allow you to bring as much as you want. I guess tracking who has what drink package would make it difficult to monitor and create confusion. Thanks again for the help.
  6. Thanks! I may try to sneak a couple bottles of Harvey’s Bristol Cream Sherry on board.
  7. We are new to MSC and will be in a YC suite on Divina in November. Is the Included WiFi 2 devices per person or per suite? Also, can you tell me if Harvey Bristol cream, Bailey Irish Cream, and Southern Comfort whiskey are included drinks? Thanks in advance.
  8. Our TA got me the 5% added and $50 pp OBC after I got the status match which was a couple of days after booking with my TA.
  9. I just applied and sent a screen shot of my digital Hilton diamond card from the website that only indicated date I became a Hilton member. I just received my diamond status approval from MSC Yesterday.
  10. Just Curious. I watched a video taken a year ago of a Divina Yacht Club grand suite similar to our booked suite and they indicated no coffee maker provided? You indicated they were? Is it available on request?
  11. Thanks to all who responded. Have now booked the cruise on the Divina in a Yacht Club Deluxe Grand Suite deck 15 for 10 day cruise. Looking forward to trying MSC.
  12. Thank you for taking the time to provide such detail. Very helpful!
  13. Planning an 11 night cruise on Jewel in a Haven suite. This will be our first NCL experience. Have the following questions: 1. Can mini bar or suite be stocked with a couple of your preferred included bottles of wine at no charge? 2. Is a coffee maker provided in your suite? 3. Are Washer & Dryers available to use and are they free? 4. Does the private Lounge have Live music in the evening? 5. I understand no exclusive restaurant for dinner on the Jewel so what choices do you have for dinner? Appreciate any other Haven input specific to Jewel since my understanding is that the "Haven Experience" varies by ship.
  14. Planning a 10 night cruise on Divina in a Yacht Club suite. Have the following questions: 1. Can mini bar or suite be stocked with a couple of your preferred included bottles of wine at no charge? 2. Is a coffee maker provided in your suite? I heard that on Divina No but not confirmed? 3. Are Washer & Dryers available to use and are they free? 4. Does the private Lounge have Live music in the evening? Appreciate any other YC input specific to Divina since my understanding is that the "YC Experience" varies by ship.
  15. Can someone confirm Starlink internet has been installed, and if yes, what is your experience and are there any up charges for more devices or faster speeds. Thanks!
  16. Your welcome. We have many fond memories of Azamazing evenings with Azamara and would still be with them except at our age the cruise line & Ship is more our destination now which lands us more with Crystal moving forward.
  17. If your question was in reference to my post, we much prefer Azamara to Oceania but neither is ultra luxury in our opinion. Have not tried Regent as the cost premium does not provide the value we place a premium on.
  18. I have also looked at the Nova videos and I understand if you like SS you will be impressed with the new ship but we were not impressed with SS so a newer more spacious ship would not change what we did not like about SS. To each their own.
  19. We have cruised with Silversea, Seabourn, and Crystal. Since you are familiar with Crystal and if your tastes are similar to ours you will be disappointed if you set your expectations for a similar experience with either Seabourn or SS. If you go with an open mind, go with the flow, and not try and compare to Crystal and if itinerary is interesting you will enjoy either Seabourn or SS. IMHO.
  20. So? I was not inferring it was not spacious. The point was it was still Silversea so not sure why you would expect it to be a game changer except if you were a SS regular. I was more reacting to a SS fan trying to convince me that my opinion of SS would change because of a new ship.
  21. If your main criteria is newness it is the latest iteration of design but it is still run by Silversea so why would you expect it to have any better or higher quality food & beverage, or other services. Yes it may have more of the same but also more passengers. I can see Silversea regulars getting excited but those of us that tried SS and prefer Seabourn or Crystal will not be swayed because it is new or swayed by the hype.
  22. Have you looked at the Crystal board on cruise critic or the Facebook “Crystal society family”. Not for everyone but it fits us really well.
  23. Not sure why you are trying to guess how other people choose a cruise line. Our experience with SS was opposite to yours and like Seabourn for the opposite reasons you prefer SS. A particular ship or cruise line choice is a very personal choice based on many factors and most experienced cruisers know how to research and choose a cruise and cruise line. Our next cruise will be on Crystal which we have cruised with before and much prefer to Regent, SS, or Seabourn. How about that for being different.
  24. I think it varies by passenger count. We are currently on Ovation with about 550 pax and the MDR is open for breakfast and dinner every day except embark & Debark. Was open for Lunch every sea day but not port days.
