Yes!! TLDR… I upgraded form interior to oceanview on October 16, then on October 19 the price dipped below interior. That’s when I called and forgot the switch made. That’s what the agent on the phone told me he saw in my notes, too. ETA… you are right. I did get money back on this - had to go back and check. Thanks for reminding me. Unfortunately the price has skyrocketed so hopefully they’ll honor what they initially gave me 😩

Hi!! I am a casino cruiser and had an interior room comped on the Wonder. My guest and I paid the upgrade fee to go from interior to ocean view balcony guarantee as an upgrade. Since it only showed “GTY” on my account, I called the next day to make sure and the agent assured me that yes, it’s listed as an oceanview balcony guarantee. Of course we knew there’s a chance we could get the worst balcony on the ship, but we didn’t care! Well, the cabin has been assigned and it is under the interior category. I am soo upset, not only because of the obvious frustration, but I actually paid the upgrade fee and they took the money. Has anyone had this happen and get solved?

Question... I am not as concerned about what balcony I am going to get, but moreso the fact that I even HAVE a guarantee balcony. I just upgraded from a casino comp (free interior) to a guarantee balcony for free. Actually, the guarantee was cheaper than the interior. Now, that seemed suspicious enough but I went for it. I asked the agent, "Just to confirm, this is for a guarantee balcony?" He said, "Specifically this is for an ocean view guarantee balcony." Okay, I thought. Until I logged into my account and checked my invoice and all it says is "#GTY". Please tell me he did not sign me up for a guarantee interior? Does everyone else with Balcony Guarantee see the same thing in their account, or does it say Balcony GTY? Thank you!

Great question! I have no idea 😅 that's why I asked the question, because I am not at all familiar with the town. I've done Anchorage, Denali, Fairbanks, and everything in between with a rental and it was such a great experience. I would love to recreate that experience, but my concern is that the town is too small and it wouldn't be that thrilling. Thanks!

Hey all! Going to be in Sitka with Royal Caribbean. None of the excursions jump out at us, so was wondering if anyone has any experience renting a car or driving around Sitka? Not sure how the scenery is out there, but we are hoping to do something super easy going and self paced. Thanks!

Hello! I am traveling on QOS and am curious about the various categories under balcony staterooms. It's my best friend and me traveling to Alaska (a gift from me to him), and while we're fine with the two twin bed situation, I am willing to spend a little extra for me to keep the "royal king" bed and have him on a queen size pull-out sofa bed. Anyone have experience with the D1-D2 balcony category and can speak to either the pullman bed or sofa bed situation? Just want to make sure it will be worth it to fork over a little more money. Pictures would be great!!
