Hotel was nice when we stayed there. Great balcony view of the waterway, a lot of things to see & do along with restaurants within walking distance. Stayed there twice for cruises and very satisfied with both stays.

Eastern Caribbean is totally different from Western from our experience. we prefer Eastern because of the beauty - waters - ports of call. We live in LA and have been on more Western cruises than Eastern. We now only book cruises going East.

Called Carnival to ask for a Cabin change to Havana Cabana. Quoted price was $800. We said no thank you. Less than 2 weeks later, we get an offer from CCL to move from Deck 8 Balcony on Venezia in September to Spa Balcony for $56. Asked if a Havana Cabana was available for that upgrade and they said yes. So, Havana Cabana it is for $56.

Valor and Glory are on different schedules. I am not aware of them being in port the same day. Valor departs on Saturday, Monday and Thursdays. Glory is on a 7 day rotation starting & ending on Sundays. You may need to check your dates? I think you may need an overnight hotel room between cruises. If you are correct and getting off one ship and on to the other, the port can handle 2 ships side by side. No other cruise line operating at this time in NOLA.

Get ready for a good time. Sailed with Marty numerous times out of New Orleans. He set the culture on the Valor and the entire ships crew had great energy and positive attitudes. Hopefully he has got the same vibe going on Panorama.
