Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. So overall $700 total for an extended balcony in Alaska? I would take it if it was me. I assume this is a 7 or 8 day cruise?
  2. I think its a good first step and i can understand them starting off with easing up rules on shorter cruises when in the past we have seen outbreaks happen on long haul cruises like panama canal crossings. It is less days to see multiple cruises develop symptoms if they do catch covid or board while already infected. If this first phase works out well for however long it is then they'll move on to phase two of relaxing the rules whatever that is.
  3. We'll be flying into Fort Lauderdale a few days before our cruise and I am looking for recommendations to get cool nail designs done.
  4. If you ask John Heald maybe he can find out for you.
  5. Dayuse.com is another website that lets you book hotel rooms for a day.
  6. Update Not sure how to delete this post and it won't accept my edit so sharing update. husband called Carnival and they said we could add someone to the room after the booking normally but with the particular sailing we are looking at with a 3 person cabin we have to book it with 3 people upfront and if the 1 person doesn't show we lose 25% of their cruise fare. So we'll have a think and decide which option we want to go with.
  7. Is it better to book a cabin for 3 and then if one passenger can't make it remove that person from your booking or to book 2 people (in a 3 person cabin) and add someone after? One person in the party is waiting for a passport and there is a chance they might not receive it in time for travel.
  8. There are compression vacuum sealed bags. You put items in the bag zip lock close and then compress the bags to squeeze out air through one way air valves.
  9. Think most ships offer sea day brunch in the Main Dining Room and you can get breakfast on port days as well in the MDR.
  10. Thank-you, I've watched many videos it looks like it should be a good time 🤞🏾
  11. Our cruise leaves on Saturday, we'll be on the Carnival Panorama for the Mexican Riviera. I hope they can at least do the second option! The injury did happen on their ship. Jair sounds like a gem. I hope all of the local liaisons are as helpful as he was.
  12. Happy you made it home safe. So sorry you got injured and you had to cut your trip short. I hope you have a full recovery and that the travel insurance pulls through. I was pleased to hear how helpful the cruise line was! We've bought travel insurance for our cruise/trip that starts tomorrow. Hopefully we won't need to use it.
  13. It seems like a doable recipe if you wanted to try making it at home. https://www.restaurant-hospitality.com/chef-recipes/chef-matt-dankos-popcorn-pot-de-cr-me
