We had a front facing cabin on Majestic Princess (L101) and it was fantastic! We didn’t use it much when the ship was underway, but in ports and on scenic cruising days, that is where we spent our time. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

We are also on this sailing, so I will be following along! We had the same issue with the safety video—we all watched it, but my daughter never got credit for it. We even got a letter that she didn’t complete the steps! 😬 The hardest part of embarkation for us was finding where to start. We walked from our hotel and had a time trying to figure out where to drop off luggage. Once we got to that point, it was meandering but easy. We also got to the port early, thanks to the advice I’ve seen here, and got on in about 30-40 minutes. Stealthdog, that stinks you had so much trouble with your steak. My daughter ordered the strip and it came a perfect medium rare. So someone on the ship knows how to cook a steak! Looking forward to the rest of the cruise!

Mt. Rainier National Park is beautiful! One of my favorites that we’ve visited. We drove up from Portland and used the Nisqually Entrance Station. Even from Seattle, I think this would be the one you’d want. The drive in is stunning, with teasing glimpses of the mountain through the forest. We hiked the Grove of the Patriarchs, which looks like it is currently closed, but was a easy and nice hike. Our kids were 8 and 5 at the time. We drove into Paradise, which has a great visitor center and will have what you need for junior rangers. We also hiked the Nisqually Vista Trail, which was an easy hike with great scenery. The views of the mountain from this area are fantastic. Enjoy!

We received an email from princess yesterday that our June 2023 Majestic cruise (southbound) would be porting in Icy Strait Point instead of Skagway.
