  1. We liked Ajax Parking. We drove up from Portland and flew to Maui over the summer and left our car their for a week. It was easy, and parking lot seemed relatively secure.
  2. We just got off an Ultra and we didn't feel it was worth it at all. The drawings and games paid out $100-$200 and it seemed the majority of people received the $300 cash prize during the big gift giveaway. Most people on an Ultra are big spenders, so $300 lasts about 25 minutes. We also were on a Premiere in Feb and the gifts were much better! On this Ultra, we received 2 cheap fedora hats, 2 pairs of plastic sunglasses, a deck of cards, a chocolate bar, and the one nice gift was a plush beach towel. We did get 2 comped meals at a specialty restaurant with wine, but we get that on every cruise. My husband received a free suite bounceback and I received a free interior. We will use those instead of booking an Ultra in the future. I would be willing to give an Elite a try if we receive invites.
  3. To be honest, I didn't pay for it since my husband received a comp from the casino, but I would absolutely pay for it next time.
  4. My husband and I were on this cruise as well. I couldn't agree with you more on the patrons of this cruise. I saw multiple adults barefoot, shirtless, etc. While dishing food onto their plates at the buffet. It was truly disgusting. I was pleasantly surprised by the ship itself. It was clean and the crew were great for us.
  5. I just got off the Sunshine and went to the steakhouse. I had the mushroom appetizer, which was amazing, and then the chef prepared me an entree. I was never asked what I do or don't like and I was a bit worried. I was brought a huge plate of pasta filled with veggies. It had Zucchini, Broccoli, Asparagus, peppers, etc. And it was delicious!
  6. They also carry veggie burgers at the deli that you can then use the toppings from Guys.
  7. My husband and I always get YTD and I would say twice have we had the tables that are "3 inches apart", and it wasn't an issue. We typically get a 4 top for the 2 of us and one time had a huge round table for the 2 of us. The dining room is only so big and it sounds like you've had issues with every seating arrangement given to you, so if you don't want to sit near people, pick YTD. You can still go at the same time each day and if you hate your seat, you won't have the same one the next night.
  8. I may be mistaken, but I think if you go go a website like Expedia and try to book the same cruise it will show you everything available.
  9. I was on the Breeze in Feb and we had a guy that had a blow up doll with a bikini riding behind him on his mobility scooter. I took a picture because it was so hilarious. Then, at Port he was swimming with her at the same beach club that we went to. 🤣
  10. Hi, My husband has 2 offers right now. We are currently booked in October to go on our first Ultrs cruise. We were on a Premiere in Feb and enjoyed some of the perks, but didn't win any raffles. Today he got an offer for the Spin and Sail $100,000 slot tournament that is also in October. Which is better? Which will be be busier in the casino? Which are we more likely to "win"? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
  11. Once you arrive on the ship you will have the lanyards in your room with you and your guest's names on them. There will also be a welcome letter telling you where to meet up at for the reception. My husband and I were on a premier cruise in February and the reception was held in one of the theaters. It was about 30-45 minutes of live music and non-stop appetizers being passed around. They also were bringing drinks by complimentary. We easily had 3-4 drinks each since we were just sitting there hanging out. At the end, the Casino host came up onstage and introduced herself, as well as what the week had in store. She then pulled a name from a drum for a couple hundred bucks or so. It was our first premier and we enjoyed it. Free drinks and food is always a nice way to start your vacation. I do recommend bringing some cash if you like to tip your servers.
  12. If I recall correctly, the Red Frog Pug offers Pitchers. They also have a "fish bowl" drink for a bit over $20 that is the equivalent to 4 or 5 drinks.
  13. It wasn't very busy at all! The beach was very clean and they had nice chairs to lay on with and without shade. The water was crystal clear! They did have a few vendors selling braids and coconut water, but were not pesky. Once I said no they never came back. The resort looks to be newer so the facilities were all great. The food was a little pricey, but I expect that for a tourist destination. Some of what we had was amazing, and some was average. The service was great though. We saw the bartender walk into the ocean to deliver a lady her drink so that she didn't have to get out. Also, the vibe was much more relaxed here vs. Other beach clubs we have been to. We love the party vibe of Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel, but this was much more relaxing and low key. As for construction, I didn't notice any of it at all. One other note, what cruise line will you be on? They are doing a lot of road work right now in Roatan and our guide said that to get to West Bay from Mahogany Bay can take 2 hours due to only having 1 lane of traffic.
