Is there any kind of store at the port near the Carnival pier? I need to pick up wine to carry on board and was hoping I could just grab something at the pier. Thanks!

How big is the mac and cheese dish?
Its a fairly large dish. It is listed as an entree on the brunch menu. Definitely big enough to share if you have another main dish.

Going to have to try the mac and cheese and the brownie next time.
We added bacon to the mac and cheese. You have the option of adding bacon, steak or chicken.:D

Definitely order the mac & cheese! It was so good! We ordered one for the table (there were three of us) in addition to our individual orders.

We were on the Triumph last week and were delayed about 5-6 hours because of heavy fog. We were driving so flights were not an issue. Just getting home late. We were on the same cruise last year and no problem. The crew was really good about putting together activities and keeping everyone entertained and Jen was great about keeping us informed.

OP - I just got off the Triumph on Monday. Had a great cruise - the crew was great and the ship was really nice. No smell LOL. Food was good and the lines were not as long as I had anticipated for Guy's or the Blue Iguana. I am going on another Triumph cruise next month so that should say something! Go and don't worry about what everyone else says. There are people who honestly just look for something to gripe about.

It was great!

We just got off the triumph. We were able to stay in our cabins until we disembarked. Plenty to eat and drinks. They had lots of activities going on and the crew did a great job.

It really is good. And, correct me if I'm wrong:rolleyes:, but I don't think it counts toward your limit on bringing back alcohol to the US.

The Duty Free shop in the port has it for $21 a bottle.
Yes, you can get it in most shops in St. Maarten, but my point was the Guavaberry store in Philipsburg sells different guavaberry products, makes the little sample drinks and is just a really neat little store. Definitely don't want to stay at the port in St. Maarten! LOL. Philipsburg is one of my favorite places for shopping and the beach.

I think St. Maarten is the only place you can get it. WHen you get off the water taxi go about one block to the street where all the shops are and turn right. Just keep walking and there is a shop on your left where they sell all the guavaberry rum products. Plus they make up little sample drinks that are great! We always get the blackening spice there also. It is wonderful. You can buy the rum in a lot of the shops but this shop is definitely the best place.

My daughter and a lot of her friends from Texas A&M went on the five day out of New Orleans and had a great time. Went to Progresso and Cozumel. Progresso had the Corona Beach Blast going on. They all had a great time.
