I posted this on the East Coast boards but only got a few responses and none of them really answered my question so I'm going to try here. Myself and a friend are cruising from Boston on a 15 day Royal Caribbean cruise to Canada and Greenland in September. I just checked parking and the rate quoted for parking at the port was $570!!! I searched and found parking in a lot on Black Falcon Avenue through ParkWhiz for $212. Has anyone parked here and how far is it to the port and is it safe? That's certainly a big difference in price. We are driving from NJ so arriving the day before. TYIA for any help.

I didn't. I'm not familiar with Boston. I don't think the parking through ParkWhiz is a garage. I think it's street parking.

I haven't. The train station is pretty far from me plus we have a hotel booked which is about 25 minutes from the port.

I was on the Anthem in November and they had the Love and Marriage show once at night and once during the day. I was surprised with the day show since it is usually recommended for adults. I didn't attend so I can't comment on how it was.

My passport doesn't have my middle initial but my RCCL info does and I've never had a problem. I always show my SetSail Pass from my phone. I never print it out. I agree they need to change the wording because most people just show their phone.

Only Spectra in 270. No reservations necessary for any shows in the theater.

I was just on the Anthem...got off on Sunday...and we were not asked about about vaccination. I think its funny the questions are for everybody. My 10 year old grandson had the pregnancy question. lol

Ocean County. How much is it to leave your car in Newark? I'm wondering if we can take the train from Metro Park to Newark. I've only been on that train once to NY and I'm pretty sure we stopped at Newark Penn. If so, we could have someone drive us to Metro Park.

I was wondering the same thing. We were in 270 when the helicopter was flying overhead.

Thanks everyone! For those who recommended taking the train...I think its best for us to get to the Boston area the day before we sail. I guess we would take the train and then Uber to a hotel and Uber to the port? I have to check because I don't know where we would get the train in NJ. I seem to remember looking once and there was no direct train plus we would have to leave our car and pay to park...I assume.

Next September we are going on a 15 day cruise out of Boston. We live in NJ so we will drive up there the day before we sail. Are there any hotels nearby that will let us leave our car there for the 15 days? I'm actually looking at an Embassy Suites about 26 miles from the port but I see no mention of this option. Since we aren't familiar with the area we thought it would be great to stay at a hotel and then be able to leave our car there and either take a shuttle...if that's an option...or Uber.

I forgot one question...are you still allowed to bring a 12 pack of soda on the ship? My cruise documents say no nonalcoholic beverages 🤷‍♀️

We had Joff when we sailed last year and I thought I heard he was back. He was so good!!!! I was hoping he would be our CD on this cruise.

I am sailing on the Anthem in 12 days. The last time I cruised on Anthem was over a year ago. My questions for anyone who has recently sailed this ship: Is the Northstar still free on port days? When I sailed it was and it was $20 for sea days. I'm now seeing its $40! What about Ifly? I've only done this once and it was always free. Is it free on port days? I'm seeing a charge on what I believe are sea days. I know room cleanings are now once a day. Can you choose morning or evening or is that dependent on the cabin steward or deck (we're on deck 9). Lastly, is there Zumba on the ship? If there is, anyone know who is doing it? My last trip it was on sea days and Ziko was the one doing it. I saw him in May on the Adventure and he and Julietta (she is great and does lots on the ship including trivia) said they were trying to get back on the Anthem. 🤞 Lastly, who is the cruise director? I heard the one we had last year is back and he was amazing!!!!

How much are they going to charge you for that 6 pack? You're allowed to bring a 12 pack on the ship which is probably cheaper.

Last year a friend & I were on the Adventure. We had separate cabins right next to each other. We got to the room and got our cards, opened our doors and then were on our way. My friend for some reason had 2 cards. When we came back to our cabins, her card wouldn't open her door. She looks at it and it has someone else's name on it. Turns out she got the card that belonged to the cabin across from us. There were supposed to be 2 people in that cabin but one person couldn't make it because there was a hurricane where she lived and her card was in my friend's door. The other card she had was hers and that's the one she somehow used to initially open the door but it isn't the one she took with her. 😅 Lesson learned...always check the name on your card.

The last time I was on Anthem which was about a year ago...the only reservations you needed to make was for any show in 270. No other shows require a reservation.

Sorrentos!! Whenever we're on a ship that has one, that's where we go. Its never crowded and we can sit and relax without feeling like we're hogging a table because people are waiting. I avoid the WJ on embarkation day.

Same here! I had two cruises booked with the $18. Maybe we should blame RCCL for Covid as a way to avoid having to honor this great price. 😂

Where is "messages" in the app? I've never used it so I have never looked for it. Is it on the bottom and does it only show up once I'm on the ship?

Actually, this is a change. It used to be two bottles per cabin and now its one bottle per person so if you are in a cabin by yourself, you are only allowed 1 bottle not 2.

Sailing on the Anthem in November and they have eliminated our stop in Nassau. Because of this they are giving us OBC for the price of one day of the cruise which will be added once we get on board. My question is will I be able to see this on the app? I haven't been able to see any of my OBC on the app only on the website. Not sure if I'm just not looking in the right place or it just isn't on there. If I book an excursion, it will show me the OBC and ask if I want to use it but that's the only time I can see it.

While you still get to enjoy your day onboard Anthem of the Seas, to help make up for the missed port, we will provide you with a one-day (1) cruise fare refund in the form of an Onboard Credit. This will automatically be added to your SeaPass account on boarding day. Any unused portion will be refunded to your credit card associated with your onboard folio.
