Although I still find it awkward to sit and eat alone I prefer that to being at a large table. I'm pretty much an eat and go person ,not a fan of an 1 1/2 hour dinner.

I have been cruising solo since my husband passed away 2 1/2 years ago. Everything has been great. The only part I am still not good at is eating alone. Not sure why that is. I can usually find folks to chat with at the bars or trivia.

I book all my cruises thru a TA and can always check in myself at the 45 day mark. I can also do all cruise planner purchases myself. Like Ken said the TA does payments cabin changes and dining changes

I normally have my TA make my final payments months in advance. ( Waiting for the people to come and tell me how much money I could save by keeping it in the bank😇)

That's what I thought as well. I just checked a couple of other sailings outside the new blackout dates and no DP340 available on them either. I'm pretty sure that TA's also have to call to get it applied. Pain in the neck

I'm sorry for your loss. I also lost my husband a little over 2 years ago and am in my early 70's. I have cruised quite a bit since he passed. I think it was my coping mechanism at the time. I always get early seating and a small table. I email them prior to sailing (rcldining@rccl.com) to request that the table be for just 1 person and they have always complied. You are pretty much guaranteed a table for just yourself at any time dining.
