  1. I would totally harangue them about the need for a fully mechanical diesel vehicle rather than reliance on gasoline supply chain. Sort of a prepper trump card. I don't have one by the way, but guarantee they'll start thinking more about the hole in their plan and be quieter. πŸ˜„
  2. Wouldn't want to come back...
  3. Merino wool and good rain gear! Hat and gloves are a must.
  4. Sadly, I'm one of the ones who doesn't wear the tie in the meetings 😁
  5. Got deployed to Africa and infrastructure is...dicey at best. Be very careful with counting on smooth travels. Might do a safari (photo) in Tanzania or Kenya someday, but otherwise no way am I paying to go back. Will likely cancel ATW if we have to go the long way around rather than the suez.
  6. Actually live in OlympiaπŸ˜†, you got it! The Clarks are actually fairly nice dress shoes, but maybe they are doing sandals now? Out here the boss or head of a meeting wears a tie and if you wear one people ask you what you are interviewing for.
  7. Thinking about possibly hanging shelves for our 2/3 version of your cruise. We are thinking the idea of being prepped for two two week cycles of clothes, with less, but some cold gear. Our Portion should not have too much cold weather, but no way I'm leaving the merino base layers at home.
  8. But they are a standard out here in the PNW! Also the Keens cover the toes, with most of the upper as leather. The socks ARE a joke, though. At the worst my dress shoes will be sad and lonely after retirement and would want to get out tooπŸ˜†. Guess I can bring the Clarks along
  9. So, clean Keens in good repair (maybe with socks?)
  10. Hmm, we went there after the river, I am not sure. We liked it so much there that the Admiral wanted to look into buying a place and I have no objections
  11. These were pre arranged boat tours but I think there were some tours available under the shelter
  12. I did the drift snorkel and loved it. Top notch. Then a ride up the river on a longboat which went to the public motu. Either was great, fully recommend
  13. We had a scooter in the hall on the Bliss last week. And no pack of rats absconded with my magnet
  14. We would not choose prima for that itinerary again. Sunny climate and discounted, maaaaybe
  15. Curiouser and curiouser. Maybe we can make pruno in there πŸ˜†
  16. My mind wants to put new words onto Arlo Guthrie's Smoking into Los Angeles, but I'm not coming up with good alliteration
