  1. @MissP22 and @Micahs Grandad I can spend my time lamenting how things used to be or I can be uber glad that I bought CUK at 6.50 it's currently at 16.9 plus I've already recouped 1500 OBC with 500 OBC already posted for the next 2 cruises. I prefer to see it as WHOO HOO I'm ahead and it's no longer on the sell list
  2. Perfect!! Spouse #1 has military OBC & spouse #2 has shareholders OBC
  3. I searched that out on the Princess website last week. If that helps
  4. Wow such misconception. 1st in a couple if 1 has shares and the other served then each gets up to 250 OBC. 2nd not everyone has served. Especially after the draft was eliminated.
  5. I'd venture to say not many as most of those issued in 2020 expired last December and new ones are only valid for 12 months
  6. I used it once in Fort Lauderdale in December 2021. Although it was simple enough I wound up paying much more what it would have cost if I just booked transfers & hotel separately. And more than I would have paid if I just booked hotel & uber separately. But I'm a solo so it might not be as much of an overcharge for couples Picked me up at airport -> dropped me off at hotel -> picked me up at hotel -> dropped me off for embarkation. At disembarkation used same shuttle as others to airport Added:: Found my notes: 2 transfers + 1 night in hotel = $298. Hotel booked separately was $150. So simple but pricey JMHO
  7. After years of tipping extra (remember white envelopes?) I did not tip any extra on my last 3 cruises. Felt strange in April but normal by the end of June. I'm burnt out by everyone asking for extras. In fact I'm even cutting back on tipping at home. Just raise their wages and bill me if $18.07 minimum wage isn't enough. (Now you can flame me 🔥 )
  8. @Micahs GrandadExactly!! I traded CCL (a lot) in my IRA to wipe out a loss (bought 56 -- had 1.5k OBC sold at 9 so lost 3200 less dividends / then traded a bunch back & forth to recover) finally bought CUK in the brokerage account. Reeped over 1500 OBC so far with another 500 already logged in. Don't really worry about it anymore as the shareholder OBC is like a non-taxable dividend for a stock I've been reimbursed for (yeah I know I'm wrong but that's how I view it)
  9. CUK is at 15.60 up from 52 week low of 5.43 (I'm in at 6.50 so not the lowest but I'm satisfied)
  10. I've got GOOD news (at least it is in my opinion). I can get hot water at IC to go with my premium tea that I pack from home. No Coffee Pkg needed. And I get EXACTLY the tea I like.
  11. I was going to say "still water" is a common term for non-carbonated bottled water in California but the discovered that you live justv1 county over @damiross. (Alameda vs Contra Costa)
  12. Cruises to Pacific Northwest out of SF were a disaster in April 2022 because of the requirements to complete the Canadian ArriveCAN form. And that was because so many passengers did NOT do it ahead of time. That is no longer a requirement and getting inside the terminal is relatively fast now, Anyway it was fast in April 2023. What a difference a year / expired Covid restrictions makes
  13. I'm only going to address 2 lines I highlighted in red. On my Emerald Princess 5/27-6/17/23 and Royal Princess in Apr 2023 there were erroneous charges. I went on MedallionClass Crew Chat and told them (1) glass of wine wasn't mine (2) it was tea not latte. Both were immediately removed. Oddly the tea charge never showed up. The MedallionClass app Crew Chat works. Plus I can see my totals with exactly what it's for anytime. So no, you will not get any charges without explanation. Zoo like atmosphere at the buffet. I don't like the buffets. There's no pushing, just gluttonous ppl. I go to International Cafe instead where I can get a few small bites (almond croissant OR sandwich, dessert, cookie -- I'm a dessert & ice creamaholic) Now on a side-note, I did not feel overcrowded despite the ship being oversold. There's always a quiet spot. And it really helps now that I can get specialty teas at 2 places.
  14. @PacnGoNow makes sense business-wise for PCL to ditch them then. I'll be trying out O'Malleys
  15. Thats a shame. Salty Dog Cafe has nothing for us vegetarians. But at least O'Mallys has the vegetarian onion soup & dessert ....
  16. On the Emerald Princess last week the Salty Dog Gastropub was a la carte. Is that now the norm? Specifically wondering about the Enchanted Princess
  17. Look your room up on https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Discovery-Princess&deck=15 . When I looked I saw a table on the forward facing balconies
  18. @lindafromns great idea!! I usually just use it in / near port as I can do everything on the MC intranet onboard. Then buy 1 day at $7.50 if I really want to check into my flight home (or do that while waiting to disembark). I don't drink much alcohol (traded minibar for a bottle of wine on last cruise then poured 1/2 bottle out when clearing out room). Oh and I can get hot water at IC to steep my favorite tea bag in.
  19. Just to add a little: in addition to trading like for like (alcoholic / nonalcoholic) you can trade all of it for a bottle of wine. On the Emerald Princess last month they said it's value must be under $50 but they let me trade for one listed at $61. So there is flexibility
  20. So I came across something similar a few months ago. Paid in full (before final payment date) then repriced flight resulting in a credit. It required my CVP to 'check a box' and then I got it the next day
  21. Thats a shame!! I had the vegan menu on the Enchanted Princess l st September
  22. Discovered that I could get 16 oz disposable hot cups, lids, sleeve on the Emerald Princess from the Mix (Deck 15) and IC. The Mix will hand out several whereas the IC hands out singles. Makes it easy to get a to go cup of coffee or cocoa from MDR or hot water to make tea at IC!! No longer need good coffee from IC Just need to pack favorite tea bags
  23. Robes on the Emerald Princess are also enormous!! Too big to be useful
  24. I did not need my QR Code to enter SF terminal 4/16/23 so I doubt it is mandatory.
