  1. Although we may have become accustomed to a particular set up, we aren't promised that anywhere that i can find. The Captain Circle benefit descriotion does not state what is in the mini bar, just that it exists. It simply states "Mini bottles of liquor can be exchanged for either the same size of a different type of liquor or beer on a one-to-one basis." So whatever set up is delivered is what's promised
  2. Do they only deliver 2 scones & cream per person or do they inundate you with 6 platters as well? (at least room service will immediately remove the 'extras'). Picture Please -- tempt us More is never better IMHO adding background: I struggle with keeping at 24 BMI due to poor self control. I know I don't need to belong to the 'clean plate club' but grew up poor so it's deep in my brain
  3. I specify vegetarian and they stick to that 1/2 the time, so don't count on it. They plate these up enmass. Its not like room service where they have individual orders
  4. Same. Which is why I like to leave enough OBC to cover if if it clears. There's so few ship excursions I really want so it's a happy surprise when the ticket shows up!
  5. Large balcony on E424 is 1/2 covered
  6. Works great on my Samsung Internet but not on my Chrome
  7. That’s not really fair to those working towards Elite status 15 cruises/150 days. I don’t want to eliminate the mini bar, that’s an Elite perk. Not everyone buys the beverage package or wants their 1 bottle of wine. It’s enough for my DH and I bring my own wine OB. Then shift the obc to: 16- 31 cruises 25 OBC and let the rest stand. Honestly Princess doesn't care what I or any of us thinks
  8. Are you quoting days or cruises? Cruises not nights. So this would be an addition to the other perks after removing the minibar.
  9. I had it as a main course on the Royal Princess last month, still in the gratin dish
  10. I disagree with that. We do not drink nor do we purchase drink packages. Swapping out allows us to get soda and water without purchasing them. It is an earned perk and therefore should be available to all Unless they want to discard it all together and replace it with the missing loyalty obc as a tiered perk. I'll gladly trade it for 100 nonrefundable OBC 21-30 25 OBC 31-40 50 OBC 41- 50 75 OBC 51+ 100 OBC
  11. Maybe they should just give elites a bottle of wine and no minibar. Buying 12 waters00
  12. I think there needs to be an addendum to the perks .... like 1-3 day cruises just get a proportional amt. 1 day - 1 water, 1 liquor, 1 soda 2 day - 2 waters, 2 liquors, 2 sodas 3 day - 3 waters, 3 liquors, 3 sodas 4 day - 4 waters, 4 liquors, 4 sodas 7 day - full minibar Ridiculous to give a FULL minibar for an overnighter
  13. I hear what you are saying BUT the switch didn't work on a 3 day cruise. It worked on cruises longer than that. So as long as your cruise is 5+ days you're good.
  14. On the Royal Princess GSD requested that i ask my steward or crewcall chat. So I'm going to ask my steward directly as well as crewcall chat ..... but this explains why there's no switch out on short cruises.
  15. There were 1250 Elites on my last cruise. Then add in the suites. A lot of work for what could be 1500 individual setups of 20 mini bottles & cans. HOWEVER there should be a way to select just 1 bottle wine -- specify white / red / or rose Princess chooses white / red / or rose. Eliminate other swaps. (Can still buy dz water bottles for $7.08 if standard fare cruiser wants H2O) Edit: thats still a lot of work. Bet the majority of the mini bars aren't swapped out
  16. Supposedly. But I'm wondering if those short 1-3 day cruises don't allow swaps like the 5 day one skipped the Captains Party. As a standard fare booking on that 1, I'd be totally satisfied with a drink coupon. Finding out in 17 days
  17. So far only Livorno limits it to wine & beer while in port. Yes that's 12 hrs without hard alcohol
  18. Screenshot this just in case but trying to change for OBC on my 5 day - wine on the 16 day (B2B). It was changed a few months ago when coffee card omitted and crew call chat added
  19. I'm going with "bc its a 3 day cruise" and wondering if the Captains Circle Cocktail Party was also omitted. In 2019 we got a drink voucher instead of the event as it was a 5 day cruise
  20. The walk off in SF was extremely fast 4/23/23. CBP used new facial recognition software for screening and I paused, didn't even stop. Hope San Pedro (LA) is just as fast next month
  21. I always carry it on & off but then I stay on lower floors (8-10) and it's only 25+ lbs so no problem carrying it up / down a few flights
  22. That's weird!! I was on the Royal Princess 4/16/23-4/23/23 and swapped the entire mini bar for a bottle of wine
  23. Ive often wondered about those cruisers who are dissatisfied with what they get from their travel €,£,¥, or $s and keep coming back. Haven't they heard the Einstein quote "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." If I was dissatisfied I wouldn't return. But they do? (Or are they secretly satisfied but just like to complain)
