  1. Interesting idea but with a limit on the number of guest allowed to sail how would the line decide which passengers are allowed to sail?
  2. Hi, welcome to CC (Cruise Critics). Your TA (Travel Agent) may be prioritising the cancellation of holidays over complaints. That is what the TA I use is doing.
  3. One theory, that I have heard, is that cruise lines don't allow UK customers access to price drops because the lines have to pay an annual fee to be a member of ABTA. The fee is based on the lines revenue and allowing customers access to price drops makes it harder for ABTA to work out the annual fee for that line. I'm not sure how reliable this theory is so take it with a pinch of salt🤷‍♂️
  4. If you could do with the money why did you ask to extend the FCC by 1 year, in your OP?
  5. What is happening with Anello's trail? I know he has decided to change his plea to guilty and his trail was due to start in April but what is the latest please. Is Puerto Rico holding trails and plea hearing at the moment?
  6. I'm sad to report that someone rang Radio Stoke, today, begging for help. Their neighbour has just returned from a 3 week holiday in Spain and is refusing to self isolate and of course there is nothing that can be done about this selfish person.
  7. Wow and you claimed you could not understand my post.

  9. I hope RCI do change their mind and cancel all sailing for the next 30--60 days. At the present time it make the company appear as if they only care about their staff and passengers that cruise from the US.
  10. I'm surprised they have only cancelled sailing out of the US.
  11. Saga has cancelled cruises https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/13/saga-cancels-all-cruises-after-coronavirus-travel-advice-change
  12. Hi Jo89315 welcome to CC It's perfectly natural to worry about your parents but there maybe an innocent reason why they have not been in contact with you. On my parents last cruise my dad forgot his charger (and for course his battery was low) and my mum forgot her phone. Please let us know if they do get in touch with you.
  13. There is no curfew. The door is open all the time. We have always slept on the ship during overnight stay so I don't if you have to inform the ship if you decide to stay in town.
  14. On Royal the leaflet is called the Cruise Compass and if you don't mind self service, eat in the Windjammer (buffet on deck 14)
  15. "REPLY to Response to Motion re30 Amended MOTION TO DISMISS1 Complaint,28 Order on Motion to Dismiss for Failure to State a Claim,,, Order on Motion to Compel,,, Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File Response/Reply/Answer,,, Order on Motion to Strike,,, Order on Motion f filed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.. (Chardon, Carlos)" This is the latest from the civil case. Not sure I understand what it means but thought I would post it, in case someone else can make sense of it
  16. People who hold the lift for the rest of their party who are supposedly only going to be 1 minute.
  17. This happened to us. My parents received the gift I sent them but as there was no label they thought it was from the ship. They were novice cruisers at the time
  18. I have to agree. You may get nothing but it might make you and your husband feel better, that you have written to them. If you find yourself in a similar situation try to borrow some books and games from Adventure Ocean. Hope you are all feeling better 😊
  19. Is it normal that if you are denied boarding you have to wait for the ship to return before RCI will talk about the reason for the denial?
  20. I would have thought that any officer when on duty would have to give consent if their picture is to be used by a third party (not RCI).
  21. https://www.docdroid.net/IbpHQkj/wiegand-prelim-response-to-dismiss-3.pdf On page 39 I hope they got the officer's permission to be photographed?
  22. Any news on the civil case? I thought the parents had to respond by 02/26/2020 to RCI's request for the claim to be dismissed?
  23. I have no problem with them struggling to pay for a funeral, as it has come as an unexpected expense. My problem is with the apparent lack of insurance (either because they could not afford insurance or decided not to have insurance). I'm assuming that if they had insurance the cost of the funeral would have been covered or part covered by the insurance.
  24. Kim would have been in mourning, so maybe she did not read the contract.
