It was our dream vacation. Go to Rome and visit and then sail back to US on Transatlantic. Already had a Nov 2020 TA cancelled. Also a TA from Southampton cancelled. So decided to go other way. Too bad it looks like some of the crew brought Covid with them. We bought the Trip Protection Plan just in case. Wife tested positive on day 12 of Transatlantic and they would not let us off at Rome. We really believe she caught it from asst waiter who disappeared after about the third or fourth evening and we were told he had tested positive in a random test and had been quarantined. Once wife was in quarantine staff was not helpful at all. I was given five minutes to make a decision whether to go with her or not to quarantine. Of course, as a husband of 50+ years, I decided to go with her. Then after five days I was asked to leave and go to another cabin. I had continued to test negative. They were concerned if I continued to stay with her, I might test positive, and they might have to keep me onboard longer than the additional cruise. We were forced to go on to Greek Isles and Turkey. After they had put me in another cabin (7101) right at the front of the boat and noisy as heck, I had to socially distance, eat meals in my cabin and get tested every day for five more days. I tried to get them to provide me with the additional internet that I had and keep the status we had in place for the second cruise but they refused. Since the first cruise was over the status I had (the Key) was gone. (no refund for that, prorata or otherwise) My wife and I were Diamond Plus and Prime in their casino. We both had earned enough points to be Prime again next year. The seapass card they gave me was not tied to a reservation. We had lost all the points in the casino, and I had to get the host to add a sticker that indicated I was a Prime member. No free play once I got out of quarantine for the points I had earned that we normally would have used on the last few days of a cruise. I think the host felt bad because I was told my name was called for the "Hot Seat" prize. Only since my wife was finally let out of quarantine on that day, I had spent a quiet evening with her.
