  1. 🤣 🤣LOL. Actually, yes. It is waterproof and came with a dry bag we bought for a tubing trip. But I couldn’t bring myself to hang my phone around my neck, even for just an hour. So I just left it behind instead. 🤣🤣
  2. It's a nice case for travel!!! The "back door" is pretty secure. I don't have to give my cards to my husband to carry for me or worry about dropping them out of my pockets, if I have pockets.
  3. This is the case I have, Spigen Slim Armor CS purchased on Amazon.
  4. I don’t care for lanyards. I found a cell phone case with a sliding cover on the back that I only use on vacation. It holds two cards - usually my Sea Pass card and my id. I want to be reachable by my college student son, so I always have that with me. Very handy….
  5. We are also visiting Iceland this summer with NCL. In Akureyri, we have booked a tour with Iceland Everywhere. In Isafjordur, we have booked with Arctic Shorex. I can't recommend them myself yet, but I am hopeful that the experiences will be good. You might find others who have already taken tours with these companies by entering the city name in the Cruise Critic boards search field. That was how I found these.
  6. When our 19 year old agrees to go with us, we usually go with two cabins. It works out well for us. We are all more comfortable than being in a single cabin. After trying this once, we won't go back to sharing with him! We have a 7-day Caribbean cruise booked. For your reference, our options for internet are $209.93 for unlimited internet (1 device) and $279.93 for unlimited premium (1 device). There are also options for 2 devices that are less than buying two individual plans. If you book two cabins so they get internet, it's minutes, not unlimited. The cost to upgrade from minutes to unlimited is less than buying the 1 device packages for passengers 3 and 4. I hope that makes sense. The soda package for 7 days is listed as $83.58 per person ($9.95 plus 20% for 7 days). As mentioned, these are all for our 7-day cruise. The prices for our 11-day itinerary are higher.
  7. We placed AirTags in our luggage flying from the US to Rome for a cruise last summer. My husband doubted the value until I was able to tell him on the return home there was no need for us to wait for luggage in customs before our connecting flight. Our bags showed still in Rome an hour after we departed. They were on the flight after ours.
  8. Even something as small as changing dining time from early fixed to waitlisting anytime dining, having FBC make a change to flights, or adding a special occasion to the reservation can cause this. The first time it happened, I panicked, of course. My Celebrity cruise planner assured me all was fine, and he took care of it while I waited on the phone. Anytime since then, I have emailed him my last correct confirmation and asked him if he could take a look. He usually has it corrected in a few hours. Yes, it has happened multiple times on the same reservation! 😉
  9. We used Stefano's RomeCabs last summer for transportation from the airport to the hotel in Rome and again a couple days later for the trip from the hotel to the port. The service was great! We chose to pay in advance via PayPal, so when the driver arrived to pick us up, everything was already taken care of. The driver knew where we were going, and there was no payment to deal with - super easy.
  10. The bonus points are showing on my account now as an adjustment. Yay!
  11. BoA. I had to call twice to find a representative who was willing to help. She opened a case and said to allow 15 days for resolution. I am about halfway through that now.
  12. I have the same thing on a 9/15 NCL charge (payment on cruise fare) - no bonus points included. I received the bonus points on a 9/27 charge also made to NCL on the same cruise booking. The bonus points for 9/15 are not on the monthly statement issued a few days ago.
  13. This was our experience as well, September 2022.
  14. Our son turned 19 a few months ago. He had an account that allowed him to access the Celebrity app before he turned 18, but he didn't have a Captains Club number. This summer, he joined Captains Club. We did have to email Celebrity Engagement to get the credit for past cruises added to the account, but it was no big deal. We also had to do that for my husband for some reason, and he has had his Captains Club number listed on all reservations. Now both of them have the correct points for all cruises taken.
  15. You are so right! We don't usually travel with family, but for an October 2023 cruise, we invited my recently widowed mom (72) and my sister and brother-in-law to go with us. We are all looking forward to it!
  16. We asked for an extension from Dec 2022 to Feb 2023, about 45 days, and got a hard "no" on the goodwill FCC - multiple times from different folks. They extended our regular FCC, but not the goodwill portion.
  17. We were on Caribbean Princess last week with the Plus Beverage package. There was nothing we ordered that went over the per drink limit - daiquiris, margaritas, mimosas, other cocktails, variety of wines, and beer. There was always something available that was at or below the limit. That being said, I did see offerings that exceeded the limit. We just didn't order those. The bars we went to had a QR code that brought up the bar menu, and the menu was available on the app.
  18. On board Caribbean Princess now. Yesterday I tried the 24K Gold Margarita. This has to be one of the best margaritas I’ve had!
  19. If you are coming south on I-75, you might look around Warner Robins or Macon. Both are south of Atlanta. Personally, I would prefer either of those to staying overnight in Atlanta.
  20. We wanted to take a trip in February 2023, but Princess wouldn’t extend the “bonus” FCC expiration 45 days to allow that. I asked multiple times from different people. Always no for the bonus. So, we are going in December instead of losing the FCC. Our son was booked on the cancelled 2020 cruise with us, but he’s in college now and can’t go in December or February. I asked if they would transfer his credits to me or his dad. That was a no also. We requested a refund of his FCC for the paid fare and forfeited his bonus FCC.
  21. We have done both. We always booked our teenage son as a third person in our cabin until this past spring. For our last cruise, we booked him in the inside across the hall from our balcony room. He was almost 18 at the time (3 months before birthday). Having the second room was great. We will be doing that from now on.
  22. We placed Air Tags in our luggage for flights to and from Rome in September. When we were packing, I just dropped the Air Tag down in a pants pocket in each bag. On our return trip, we arrived back in the states, but our bags were showing still in Rome an hour after our flight departed. A quick app check on Delta's baggage tracker confirmed our bags were on the flight after ours. So, instead of standing in international baggage claim waiting to claim and recheck our bags at customs for our connection, we knew no bags were coming off our flight and proceeded to our connection gate. We checked a few hours later, and they had made it into the U.S. We were able to watch them make their way to us. The airline had them delivered to our house the next morning. There was some comfort in being able to see that they were, in fact, moving toward us and not lost who knows where. We are flying to Ft Lauderdale next month, and we will be doing the same thing.
  23. True. From everything I have read, it's a gamble. And that's tough for a travel control freak! I took the cruise air as a back up plan. I will be watching Delta's prices, and if they get to a price I can stand to pay, I'll book directly with the airline and cancel the cruise air. Otherwise, we'll hope for the best.
  24. We have our first NCL cruise booked. I went through the booking process making all of our selections, then I put it on hold instead of paying the deposit. I had already been assigned a Personal Cruise Consultant, so I called him. He went over the booking with me and made the changes I wanted - coming in two days before the cruise, leaving two days after the cruise, and removing the transfers. I am a bit nervous about the BOGO air also, so we chose to drive two hours to fly out of a major international airport rather than flying out of our smaller local airport. That will eliminate one connection and hopefully open the door for direct flights.
