  1. A bit of excitement for those on ye olde Vasco De Gama & Azamara Journey next week down south.🤢🤮
  2. I cannot handle tennis. Cricket and golf for me, always. But rain at the Gabba, so doubt any play today.
  3. JULIE..as always an excellent report of your voyage. QE was up to scratch in most things it appears. The only Cunard Voyage I have done is on QM2 in 2017, Sydney to HK, that was an experience. Thank you.
  4. No injuries reported but 50,000 homes in the broad area with no power, reports the Townsvegas Mayor.
  5. 26 January, HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY !! Have a great day, plenty of bbqs and stay hydrated.
  6. Sandbar has been closed since June due to a big fire in kitchen which damaged the building, collapsing part of the roof. Sandar restaurant operators would rent the restaurant bit from the owners of Bay Waters Motel. Perhaps there are some insurance/liability issues, I don't know. But certainly, a fine restaurant it was, not been there myself but read reviews.
  7. Welcome to CC. Your gratuities would be included in your fare. What you pay extra, like cash to waiters, cabin stewards etc ,if anything, is up to you.
  8. Lyle too far to drive from Batemans Bay to Phillip Island in one hit on the coastal route. Orbost would be roughly half way and a good place to stop, with breaks, look around etc, allow 2 x 6 hr driving days. Linda is spot on with her assessment and advice. Good luck with your planning mate. I hope I am still around come 2025, would be great to meet Mr and Mrs Duck.
  9. yes!yes!yes! Many thanks for your excellent reports and photos of your Grand Princess Cruises. Much appreciated by me. Happy cruising !!!🛳️
  10. Indeed Bob, many knowledgeable Cruise Critic People are also users of FB.
  11. QE turned right out of Sydney Harbour yesterday and headed south, in Eden today, then calling into Melbourne, Port Lincoln, Adelaide. Yes a few unhappy pax on board no doubt missing GBR. But the safest option.
  12. Right attitude, Escape Completely and Come Back New !!
  13. Bernies retired and sold out a few months ago, apparently it is better now than it was, big call.
  14. No vendor to my knowledge but in NSW, Woolworths Supermarket sells them, cold. Need warming. Vilis and Garlos good too, available at some Petrol stations.
  15. Now Lyle, I understand you are staying at Linda and Mario's holiday house @ Batehaven. Just down the road, northbound at Batehaven Shopping Centre is the Batehaven Bakery. Great breakfast, big range of pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes, coffee etc. Eat in or takeaway, same price. Don't miss the experience mate.
  16. I am cheesed off reading this thread, lol.I am off to Bodalla.
  17. 'It has been a hard day's night'...too much heat and humidity, lol.
  18. Papua New Guinea would be off the cruise list for now, what with the locals playing up, looting, rioting, 15 dead in Port Moresby and Lae. Out of control. Been there twice, I don't like it anyway.
  19. Re the scrambled eggs on the ships, they and omelets are often made with liquid egg from a carton, seen them make them on Princess and HAL. The liquid egg some contains wheat as a thickener, so coeliacs beware. The ships scrambled eggs using liquid egg are thus sometimes rubbery and not nice as reported above by yes! yes! yes! on Grand Princess.
  20. Nice day, Been out to Crookwell a few times, little heritage town. I like to stop at the wind farm viewing area on way.
  21. Nice meal Linda, lovely wine glass, Quality all the way.. I will be drinking out of a paper cup soon, with the packing being done re my move end of Feb, to Moruya.
  22. We need a review on the Princess Cruises Pie effort, Neil. Although I just noted they serve Mrs Macs, that is cheating, lol.
  23. I get those, I just chuck the olives, hate them. The Giardiniera are great with some cheddar cheese and continental meats.
  24. Being a Chinese food freak, might I say that food in the Melbourne Chinese looks excellent.
