  1. OK, everything on the website and in the app shows the new room number but the E docs still aren't updated. I didn't realize we could get tags at the pier so that is helpful to know since we sail Monday.
  2. We submitted a Move-Up bid that was selected. However, our E-docs and luggage tags still reflect our original room. Is this usually corrected in time? The bid was accepted a week ago.
  3. Planning workouts for my up-coming cruise, I've looked at a number of videos of the gym, but can't seem to determine if the following items are available: - A pull-up bar - Kettlebells, specifically 30-35lbs - Do the Peloton bikes actually have access to the Peloton classes? Appreciate any insight.
  4. That will be a great itinerary, and October is the perfect time to spend in Rome!
  5. I sailed on the NS February of 2019 and the sister ship Rotterdam for a Baltic cruise last may. Unfortunately I can't comment on the tendering as we never ended up tendering with either ship. I get picky with coffee and felt the only truly good coffee came from the Dutch Cafe, which is in a pretty central location and had a wonderful seating area. It was very convenient stop entering or exiting the ship. The food offered was great on the Baltic cruise, split pea soup wasn't appealing in the warm Carribean but after a rainy day in Norway it hit the spot. I did run to the buffet for coffee or tea on a few occasions I woke up before DC was open, certainly not terrible but not my first choice. Activities across the lines certainly seem more limited. We are avid Happy Hour trivia attendees, and my husband really enjoyed the various musical acts at the Music Walk venues, so they had everything we needed. Neither of us are great at sitting through the large scale productions. For both cruises we were in a balcony cabin and did the Have it All with the last one. Our last cruise was 14 days and I couldn't have imagined doing it in anything other than a balcony. Sailing through the Swedish archipelago happens early in the morning and it was amazing to sit on our balcony and watch it go by. We will be trying Celebrity again for a Mediterranean itinerary this summer and plan to decide after that which line to sail on going forward.
  6. I stayed at the Movenpick, it is connected to the cruise terminal and walkable to the train station. We ended up with the room facing the water and got to watch our ship sail in the morning we departed.
  7. I've had good experience with Lokafy and Air B and B experiences. Both tend to be relatively casual and often smaller groups so you can customize the experience a bit.
  8. Holland America Rotterdam had 2 Concept 2 rowers
  9. We'll be stopping in Mykonos on the Celebrity Beyond this Summer. Since it's a tender port I wanted to account for tender time but couldn't find how long it should be, is anyone familiar with how long the tender would be from a ship that size?
  10. Great hotel location. I hope you enjoy Rome, it's one of our favorite cities and this is a great time of year to be there!
  11. Depending on the mood or the weather: - Jalepeno margarita - French 75 - Lemon drop - Cucumber gin gimlet
  12. I was able to pre-book dining using my OBC. When I went to check out my OBC balance came up and I had the option to enter how much of a credit I wanted to use. When I entered the full amount for the dinning it removed the amount from what was owed and my OBC amount was adjusted. Hope that helps.
  13. How close to the sailing date do they usually open for spa and salon bookings? It's been quite some time since I've sailed with Celebrity.
  14. I am in a similar boat and curious to hear the pros and cons of the different venues. We've never had specialty dinning with Celebrity, and with the three different "MDRs" there are so many choices already.
  15. Wonderful way to celebrate all the milestones! My husband and I sailed the Reflection back in 2014 on an Eastern Med cruise. The ship was wonderful for the climate and looks like it's been kept up really well. Looking forward to your experience. We currently live in Northern Italy and Rome is one of our favorite cities.
  16. Did you find this on their website? All I seem to pull up is the notice from the 11th stating testing within one day.
  17. I believe mine took about 10 days after I emailed it. I send the documents at the beginning of March.
  18. I've got a Northern Europe cruise coming up and am currently working on my seasickness prevention plan. I tend to only have a problem when things are pretty rocky, which has been the first day of my last few cruises. After that the occasional ginger candy or mint tea does the trick. My doctor gave me a prescription for Scopolamine patches and Meclizine. I've taken the Meclizine before, but since it makes me a little drowsy, I'd rather not take it if I don't have to. For those that have some motion sickness, do you find it goes away after your body gets used to the ship's movement, or does it stay present as long as there is motion? I also ended up getting a cabin more forward (relatively low deck) instead of my usual low, mid-ship. I'll be on Holland America's Rotterdam, should I expect a great amount more motion here?
  19. My husband and I are due to PCS in the summer months and have an older dog. If we were to sail Cunard with her in the kennel, and take leave to cover the extra travel days, would we likely be able to be paid the amount the government would have spent on tickets for our flights? Or are we completely out the money since we chose to go that route?
