We have been twice in the last six months in Puerto Plata at both ports of call (Amber and Taino Bay) and have truly enjoyed what it has to offer without any issues or safety concerns. We felt both ports are pretty secured and very accommodating to passengers. One of the few ports in the Caribbean that offers a number of excursions for different taste and physical abilities. They seem to take tourism very seriously !! Enjoy your visit !!
