Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. This would seem to limit Princess' ability to have sales or promotional rates in the 12-24 months that a cruise is advertised on their website. It wouldn't just affect the last-minute drop and go fares.
  2. I was on the Island last year- so before all the changes. Had the same complaint about late night food options. Also, at the time, the room service menu was the only place on the ship to get any kind of regular cake
  3. I would love to see a lower tiered drink package with five or six drinks a day at a slightly lower price point. Never going to happen with a mainstream cruise line because theres no incentive for them to do it when people are buying the 15 drink per day packages. For me, this may be the nudge we needed to go over to Oceania. We don’t do room service and I like Alfredo’s- don’t love it, but the changes do reduce the number of complimentary dining options. And we just don’t love the idea of running up a bunch of charges to our onboard account.
  4. Two weeks ago boarding the Pride in Dover, my bag didn’t make it to my room until almost 11:00pm. My bag went MIA for 13 hours. The worker delivering bags still had a cart full of luggage to deliver when he stopped by.
  5. This is funny, I just got off the Carnival Pride last weekend and I could say that same thing for their pancakes in the main dining room. Hard as a rock all week!
  6. This happened to me about a year ago. Called in and was told that I couldn't pay for an excursion for my travel partner with my OBC. Once we were onboard, we went up to the excursions desk and paid for both of us using the OBC no problem. It worked out for us because the excursion wasn't sold out- but I know that's not always the case.
  7. If the premium desserts are anything like in the photos, I can't see this being a successful package. Even for families with kids/teens. The desserts just look way over the top and there are already many other regular dessert options at Swirls, International Cafe, Buffet, MDR.
  8. Interesting thought- but I get your point with how that’s named. I would be pissed if the aft bar area was exclusive access. That’s on of my favorite hangout spots on other ships.
  9. Anyone have experience taking the VI Tran busses around the island? Specifically, getting from the cruise port over to Coki Beach or Coral Wold. It looks like the 401 bus makes the loop, not sure how often the bus runs from looking at the VI Tran webpage. Thanks in advance!
  10. For the first cruise back on the Island Princess back in April, we couldn't choose a boarding group until a week before the cruise!
  11. Not only small rooms, but odd room layouts too, with the notch for the bed. Super disappointed to see the closet no longer separates the sleeping area from the bathroom. That is such a nice layout for the interior rooms.
  12. TheBourbon and Blood from Crooners was my fav on the Island Princess earlier this year.
  13. I was on the Island Princess for 14 days in May and only experienced slow speeds a couple of times and never had day-long issues with slow speeds. I was streaming White Sox games and Paramount+ onboard daily and it worked great.
  14. On the Island Princess, room service was the only place you could get cake on the ship. I ordered the chocolate cake a couple of times on the two week Panama Canal cruise.
