  1. It's not always about how much alcohol you drink its about how you use the drink package. We did this for the first time last year and used this for coffees and iced coffees and juices as well as premium drinks such as miravel wine.It does not mean that you have to constant consume alcohol but can have a variation when you want rather than wait to get cheap coffee from machine just calculate what you want whether it is a non alcoholic beverage or coffee or alcohol it is your decision
  2. We did this earlier this year . We flew out to Malta early then came back on the standard return flight it was no problem just a phone call to P&O who referred to the flights advisor who sorted this out . You might have to pay a small supplement but was no bother . Hope this helps
  3. Only on Azura two weeks ago. Can't comment on Jolly Olly but they did have Miraval Rose as this was my tipple and was available on deluxe package
  4. Was this cruise over the school holidays ? We are going in September so hoping it will be quieter.
  5. We have done this for September. We contacted P&O to explain that we wanted to have sometime in Malta beforehand , gave them our dates and they changed the flights out to Malta . We paid £20.00 each that was in February so not sure how much you would be charged as to when you fly. We booked the cruise with P&O so no problem. We booked our hotel and transfer independently.
  6. A few years ago before covid we did a 14 day cruise around the med with one port being Sardinia. We did a P&O excursion to a beach in Sardinia. Can anyone remember the name of the beach or area ? The cruise was on Britannia August 2017. Thanks in advance
  7. Hi Just a quick question. We are doing the fly cruise to Malta in September. But we are flying out a few days before to spend some time in Malta. Because of this just wondering if we will be able to board the ship earlier when we check out of our hotel. Has anyone done this? Thanks
  8. Many thanks for this . We should be ok as in Lisbon on the 11th Thanks
  9. Is the pilots strike ongoing in Lisbon as we are boarding Iona tomorrow.
  10. Hi We are also sailing on this date. We booked our dining yesterday. And today entertainment was available. The acts appearing in headliners are of course The Headliners , a ventriloquist from Britains Got Talent not that I remember him and a singer from The Voice. If you are interested in the Limelight the first part of the cruise is Sonia then Lee Mead. There will be other acts but normally in smaller venues. With the dining only some restaurants available such as Sindhu and Epicurean but you can also book Olive Grove and Chefs table with no charge best to do these as they normally book up quickly. Not sure what server you have bur Google Chrome is working quite fast Safari is taking ages. Hope this helps
  11. Just log on to my P and O app my holiday when on board . You can view what restaurants are available and the wait time .how many people are in front of you. All the main dining have the same menu . The app is handy as you can have a pre dinner drink. We never had a problem and we were on at the end of July. Enjoy your cruise
  12. PS in most cases you cannot claim for missed ports due to weather. But ours was a technical problem with the ship. So check out your policy
  13. Make sure you get a letter for everyone in your party if you are claiming with their individual name. We never knew we could claim but after an admin error everyone received a letter but with the wrong cabin number. When my husband questioned this they said they would reprint the letters and that they would be outside our door before midnight. Next morning not there so husband went back down and they printed the letters there and then. We have since made a claim still ongoing but we had to scan these letters and attach for our insurance company .
  14. Due to Iona not going to Haugesund last week . The Norwegian customs were not able to board so we were not able to claim back the tax on the items we bought in Norway. When we enquired on board with reception they gave us Global Blue address to claim. However I haver been on their website and to make a claim the documents need to be stamped by customs which we could not do due to the early departure. Has anyone else encountered this and how did they go about claiming the tax back? Thanks
  15. We received an email today for sailing on 23rd July on Iona informing us Geiranger is cancelled
  16. In La Coruna you can take the bus up to the lighthouse either 3A or 3 costs about 1.50 euro each way. They run every 20 minutes . The lighthouse only costs about 2 euro entry and is free on a Monday. If you look at the excursions you will pay a lot more. We the went to the square and had Tapas really good. Good for wander or for the beach . We did this in April.
  17. We have literally got back from Ventura. We were given the same boarding time as you but we got down about 1.30pm and was on at 2.00pm. Very different boarding process from Britannia six weeks ago. We just showed our negative covid test ,boarding pass and passport then went to check in where we were asked if we had insurance again showed our boarding pass and the cleared for boarding really quick.
  18. Finally got through. So had to log in our booking using my sons details then it let us do it. Thanks
  19. Currently on hold to P&O customer services in total been waiting for nearly four hours on different lines. So was sent our health declaration today filled it out for myself and husband then went to fill in my son's but when I went to do it a message came up to say there is no need as he is a child. My son is not a child but is 18 nearly 19 years old. We were on Britannia last month as we had to do a health declaration but now worrying as cannot get through and we sail on Tuesday. Has anyone else encountered this. By the way whilst waiting I have done the ironing .hoovering and prepared a mushroom risotto which now going to cook and wrote this post next stop glass of wine. Thanks in advance
  20. We were on Britannia in April most people dressed up think they missed it. If you want to dress up go for it we always do. Have a great time.
  21. I was on Britannia in April snd the launderettes were closed due to it being in the isolation area. However if you do require an iron and ironing board speak to your steward or at reception to arrange for one to have in your room they will let you have it for an hour. Have great time
  22. Thank you for your reply. My husband is going to contact them. He agrees with you even if we lost the deposit we will still be better off. We know that the cabin either side of what we booked is still available also the same for the other cabin for our son. Again thanks
  23. Hi We have booked a cruise for January 2023 and have noticed the price has dropped by at least £400 per person. Has anyone ever challenged this and been successful and what the outcome was. Thanks
