  1. Thank you so much. That is very helpful! And I love the Nemo video!!!
  2. I heard that it was very shallow where they snorkel. Is that an issue?
  3. You have been SO much help! Thank you!!!!
  4. Thank you for such a detailed and helpful response. What excursions go to West Bay from Coxen Hole? Where would you recommend for snorkeling at West Bay? I have snorkelled a few times but I am no expert. My son loves it. I would like to surprise him. I have researched Daniel Johnson (Lobster City) after sloths (for me) and Maya Key. I would appreciate any advice. I have scoured the forums but I would appreciate any help. I would give up sloths for my son (very few people I would do that for๐Ÿ’—) Thanks again!
  5. I have wondered about the snorkeling through DJ. If you see this, can you share more? Thanks!
  6. We are bringing our son who just graduated college on an RCL trip on Allure. We want to take him snorkeling at Maya Key. The tour sponsored by the ship only has 1 space and we need 3. I hear it is a pain to get there without the ship tour transport. Is there any other tour that goes to Maya Key? Or does RCL ever open up excursions? We are docking at Coxen Hole. Thanks for any help!
  7. Hello! I was never asked to remove a wig but always had to remove my ball cap or beanie for security coming back on. In my security photo, I had the wig. You can take that pic pre-cruise. When I wore a hat without my wig, they did not question why one had hair and then I didn't. When I had just a ball cap, removing it and replacing it was fast - just checking everyone for contraband under their hat. What I choose to do is take security photo at home with wig. Then wear ball caps to port and take them off briefly (3 seconds) at security. If you wear a cap for your original security photo, you will have to remove it if you get the pic there. That's why I wear the wig at home for the pic. Hope this helps.
  8. We were on Liberty in May and the MDR was the only issue I did notice. In Chops, the large shrimp are used in the shrimp cocktail. In the MDR, it is now the mini shrimp (just because someone commented on that). Compared to our cruises before covid, the MDR food was just ok. It seemed like they were short staffed in the kitchen because the quality of the food went down. However, as someone pointed out, there are lots of places to get food on the ship and that was not a huge issue for us. Based on short staffing reviews, we expected much more significant issues and we were grateful we didn't have them. For example, our stateroom attendant had 20 rooms and treated us like the only one. The staff, in general, worked very hard to cover any short staffing. Food in Chops was very good so we ate several nights there.
  9. I am T2 and gluten free. Rccl is a very good line for food issues. One issue I had was that the no sugar added desserts often spiked me. I ended up with a uti after several nights (vicious cycle). I will say medical was excellent for that. I will know next time to pass on those.
  10. I don't trust this port right now because I can't verify safety. We really wanted to do the sloths but there is too much conflicting information.
  11. Has it been canceled for anyone on Liberty yet? We have two sailings and got the key because internet was $1 less. Now, it has all gone up. Hoping they don't cancel.
