  1. I watched Aladdin on a flight last week. It is soooo good! Will Smith is hilarious as the genie, and the singing, especially the big chorus numbers, are fantastic! I'm going to try to get to Lion King, Godzilla, and Bohemian Rhapsody on my Nov. 2 cruise, but I won't be upset if I don't see a single one.
  2. Looking forward to reading the full review. Great pictures and descriptions! I have the crud right now too - walking pneumonia. I'm taking antibiotics and hoping I'm over it before a business trip on Monday. 😞 Thanks for sharing the Cucina lunch menu. I've already planned my embarkation lunch for Nov. 2 on Vista!
  3. No, I haven't gotten that email yet. Are you on the April 25th cruise or is yours earlier?
  4. You're absolutely right! I'll correct my post. Well shoot! It won't let me edit my original post. I don't know why, but the edit button doesn't show up. Anyways, yes, it was St. Kitts. Loved, loved, loved that place! Editing a 3rd time to answer your question - It was not crowded when we arrived. In fact, we were the only people there for the first hour or so. We arrived around 9:30 or 10am. More people started showing up at lunch time, but it never got really crowded. I don't remember how many ships were in port. I think there were typically 2 ships at all of the ports we visited, but I didn't keep track.
  5. We did this trip in June. My favorite day was in St. Lucia, and we didn't have a shore excursion. Instead we went to a little place on a black sand beach called Shipwreck Beach Bar & Grill. Taxi to/from was $4 pp. The chairs and umbrellas were old, but free. The food was great. And the black sand beach and scenery were absolutely gorgeous. If I get to St. Lucia again, I can't imagine going anywhere else. https://www.facebook.com/Shipwreck-Beach-Bar-Grill-210747062326364/
  6. Girls trip! My favorite!!!
  7. Sounds good so far. Looking forward to reading the rest of the review! Did it bother you at all to sleep with your heads under one of the bunk beds? I guess the bottom bunk of a regular bunk bed has the whole body under, so it shouldn't seem weird to me, but for some reason it does.
  8. Have you looked online at the Carnival website? https://www.carnival.com/cruise-search/#?datFrom=122019&layout=grid&numAdults=2&pageNumber=1&pageSize=8&showBest=true&sort=fromprice&useSuggestions=true These seem to fit your timeframe: 4 day - BAJA MEXICO FROM LONG BEACH (LOS ANGELES), CA - CARNIVAL IMAGINATION 3 day - BAJA MEXICO FROM LONG BEACH (LOS ANGELES), CA - CARNIVAL IMAGINATION 4 day - BAJA MEXICO FROM LONG BEACH (LOS ANGELES), CA - CARNIVAL INSPIRATION 3 day - BAJA MEXICO FROM LONG BEACH (LOS ANGELES), CA - CARNIVAL INSPIRATION 3 day - THE BAHAMAS FROM MIAMI, FL - CARNIVAL VICTORY 5 day - THE BAHAMAS FROM JACKSONVILLE, FL - CARNIVAL ECSTASY 4 day - WESTERN CARIBBEAN FROM MIAMI, FL - CARNIVAL VICTORY 4 day - WESTERN CARIBBEAN FROM MIAMI, FL - CARNIVAL SENSATION 3 day - THE BAHAMAS FROM PORT CANAVERAL (ORLANDO), FL - CARNIVAL LIBERTY 5 day - WESTERN CARIBBEAN FROM MOBILE, AL - CARNIVAL FANTASY 5 day - WESTERN CARIBBEAN FROM NEW ORLEANS, LA - CARNIVAL VALOR 4 day - THE BAHAMAS FROM JACKSONVILLE, FL - CARNIVAL ECSTASY 4 day - WESTERN CARIBBEAN FROM TAMPA, FL - CARNIVAL PARADISE 5 day - EASTERN CARIBBEAN FROM PORT CANAVERAL (ORLANDO), FL - CARNIVAL ELATION
  9. I've seen a lot of posts about chair hogs, but is it chair hogging if you are swimming and you've left your towel and stuff on your chair? Is it chair hogging if you've left your towel on your chair when you go to the bathroom or the bar? Seems like it is called chair hogging if there is a towel on a chair that isn't currently occupied, but I wonder if it's a bit exaggerated.
  10. Looks like you are having fun. I'm enjoying following along!
  11. It's what it said in the materials when I reserved it.
  12. Sid - I've really enjoyed your live review. You've given me so many ideas of things I must do on my next cruise, especially with regards to drinks and food, but also with exploring. I'm glad you had a fun 50th! But I think I would throw caution to wind and party tonight as well. I hate to see your cruise end. 😞
  13. Happy 50th, Sid! Wishing you good health and happiness for many years to come. For some reason this just popped into my head. I remember reading somewhere that the easiest way to know you've washed your hands long enough it so sing happy birthday to yourself while lathering and rinsing. Keep that in mind as you go through your day today, Sid! Question - What time is the Alchemy typically least crowded but still open? I would like to try it out on my next cruise.
  14. During my last cruise they send us cookies to our room, gave us 3 vouchers for steak/lobster selections in the MDR, and gave me a free manicure/pedicure with shellac. They were very nice to me. 🙂 By the way, it never hurts to ask for something. I didn't, but I suspect if I had, they would have tried to oblige.
  15. I was still debating the Chef's Table. Some reviews have looked amazing and others not so much. But your post might have pushed me over the edge....
