  1. What a loop hole, as of April but if paid in full sorry no. My cruise is in July (not a suite) but like the final payment is April so a whole bunch of cruises would be paid in full that didn't count for a discount
  2. I noticed this as well as I'm lactose intolerant, even MDR before was listing what did or did not have dairy in it. You'd think Luminae would
  3. The AI isn't worth it and especially now it doesn't include tips (occasionally I found a deal but it's very rare) As a solo traveler I've found its better off doing cruise only most of the time and adding things after
  4. I'm so sorry it's tough loosing a fur baby (or fur sibling). Our youngest dog we got because the previous owners bought a puppy expecting to be like a dog, of course they are babies that pee, poop and chew everything. After 4 weeks of him being locked up ALL day while home they wanted rid of him so we took him. It took quite a bit of time before he was comfortable. Every day at 18:00 he would bite and scratch me - I think that was when they let him out the crate (one of the owners was home all day but they locked him up still). After a month, he finally stopped going after me now he's my little shadow following me everywhere.
  5. last year when in Northern Europe I was on deck and cold - but Brits were out sunbathing lol
  6. Just a tiny bit before I was born, by like 20 years (had to Google it)
  7. Why? I grew up in the UK where country music wasn't a thing when I was growing up so I definitely don't like it now. My playlists are basically 70-90's pop, dance and rock, if looking at the last 10-20 years its EDM music (Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki) other than that I listen to soundtracks. Country music isn't popular everywhere.
  8. Looking forward to your review, I have Apex booked twice this year - one in a solo cabin and one in a SV
  9. I haven't booked for Dec yet because of the price but I'll probably look at when the ship is in Bimini or wait until on board to see if there are deals - last cruise there was a better deal on board than prebooking
  10. Not sure if I'm familiar with media hub (I'll check our contracts tomorrow because if we do have them I can see what type of campaigns they run). Dentsu I am familiar with 😑 Whether direct or with an agency someone is selling the strategy. With the agency probably the middle person and the X person is just way out of touch. Sometimes people get stuck with 'I want this' that it just doesn't work, with the car example I see it all the time Ford, GM, local mechanics targeting men 25 and up - like women don't have cars needing maintenance or want new cars? You either get the media person right out of school or someone stuck with targeting from 20 years ago. Right now, its like I understand what they are trying to do but its not working because they don't have a solid plan and keep flip flopping all over the place with company changes. They need to sort that out because if they are trying to target new customers that are repeat customers the on board experience needs to be good. Otherwise they are stuck in a cycle of just new customers never coming back which is going to be hard to work with.
  11. lol as my family on Northern Scotland says, no bad weather only bad clothing (at least no snow)
  12. lol my husband listens to 70s (he was born in the 60s while me in the 80s). I can listen to pretty much anything but country and rap
  13. Oh I agree, unfortunately when I booked I didn't know about is, nor was it informed that this would be a partial charter going forward I would never book less than a week and now I know how to check. But imagine if that was your first experience, it would be really bad
  14. I work in advertising, I would say a bit of both. I think they need a better marketing person they are trying to generalize all ships and its not going to work as different classes have different experiences. Here's the main issue they've bucketed ages, yes can work but you need to look at interests which works better because even when I was in my 20's I wasn't like other 20 year olds. They need to advertise the experience based on interests. It seems clear that some itineraries / crews etc are different.
  15. Ah they are out of my price range - especially as a solo traveler I get nailed on pricing. Unless Celebrity changes their retreat pricings I'll be in regular verandas. Last time I checked a retreat price they added an extra $5,000 for me being solo
  16. I think my issue with summit was more to do with it being a partial charter, I did like the aesthetics better here as it was updated. But yeah I felt like regular passengers were an after thought because it was all about the chartered passengers who were completely wasted and rude
  17. I agree with this, I am 43 this year and really enjoy E class. The millennium ones I've done and probably won't do again, so its going to depend on the ship if people come back I think, if I had done M class first I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much (Beyond was my first cruise). Next 3 cruises I have with Celebrity are all E class - I may at some point try S but would depend on itinerary. I think the yo-yoing to try and appease people is a huge problem. Some of the things I get business wise but others it's a problem and bad planning, they loose customers and then back track and by that point its too late. They need someone doing better business research before making changes. But not everyone is going to be happy, specific people want the older ships while others want newer ones.
  18. I had lobster in YC and by far it beat any lobster I had on Celebrity (retreat included)
  19. What do I think? The website is clear that basic wifi doesn't include streaming or large uploads.
  20. The cooking class I went to someone turned up who was in a wheelchair and the galley wasn't accessible - I'd say some people aren't reading or not getting its not for everyone
  21. I did a beignet making class but I had lots of OBC
  22. I was focused on the fact I woke up to snow today when we opened the pool two days ago. I just looked at the radar, damn
  23. Actually the disembarkation info says you need to be out of the room by a certain time so it's not peoples opinions its you ignoring the cruise ship policy. Room stewards are probably not wanting to upset anyone in fear of a bad review instead they are getting lumped with more difficult work because you feel entitled to stay in your room as long as you feel because you are paying extra.
  24. lol I'm lucky my husband likes to cook and clean (actually I think he has OCD). But I like a lot of chicken and fish for food, normally when I'm away he lives a bachelors diet with pizza, hot dogs and burgers for food
  25. I'm glad you made it safely and got some sleep - that's a long day but you are there now
