I'm taking a Alaskan cruise/tour July 2022.it includes the History tour in Denali. I called to upgrade to the Tundra Wilderness (everyone online recommends it so highly) the difference in tours on the Princess site is $70/person. They said that there is also a $43/person transfer fee. Did anyone else encounter this?

We're cruising southbound from Alaska next summer. Our flight home isn't until the evening. If I book a Vancouver tour through Princess that includes an airport transfer, can I assume that they will hold all our luggage from the ship?

I have a basic question. What is the benefit of gift cards ? Do you get more than the face value of the card?
I only buy gift cards when they are cheaper than the face value. I ordered $1000 in gift cards for $850

Allstate Rewards actually has a better deal. $100 gift cards for $85 (15% off)

But can you secure excursions with them prior to boarding? Normally you would have to give a credit card but could you use a gift card?
I don't see anywhere to enter the gift as payment for excursions. I booked with a travel agent so I will see if she can take them.

Double checking with anyone who can confirm, before I purchase the gift cards, that you can use GC to secure shore excursions prior to boarding the ship?
That's what I'm hoping to use them for too.

When are you sailing in July? I can't help you with logistics but we are also doing a Princess Cruisetours July 9th, sailing July 14. Fairbanks & Denali. My daughter will be 14 then as well.

I am a recent widow and do not feel comfortable venturing out on our own. I want a set tour that handles everything for us, even if it is more expensive.

I'm looking at the southbound Alaska Princess Cruise tour in June 2022. We want to do the land first. Can't decide between 2 nights Fairbanks, 2 nights Denali or 1 night Anchorage, 3 nights Denali. I'm traveling with my kids, 14 & 17. Fairbanks includes Riverboat and panning for gold and it looks like the ride to Denali is much shorter, but we don't really get a full free day. The 3 nights in Denali provides plenty of time, but it looks like the bus ride from Anchorage is pretty long and we just really see Denali. Both include a Denali bus tour. I was hoping to book an river raft excursion in Denali.

What time do they usually hold the kid's club meet and greet? We have reservations for the Steak House for 6:30 and I'm hoping they won't miss it.

I am a single mom going with my kids. I booked the steakhouse for the first night. What do they do with the free bottle of wine if you don't finish it? I'll probably only have a glass or 2.

About to book my excursions for December cruise. I see that I have to pay upfront. If I change my mind, can I cancel or switch excursions? I will be paying with Carnival Gift cards.

I have a 12 year old daughter and 15 year old son. I'm recently widowed and planning a Christmas cruise for the 3 of us. Looking at Carnival Panorama. Worried the kids will be split into different kids clubs. Hoping there are other single parents and not just big family groups. I did a few shorts cruises 15+ plus years Go, but the kids have never been.

Turns out the transfer fee was already on my original reservation. Had nothing to do with Denali, don't know why the Princess agent brought it up. She was pretty clueless, put me on hold several times. Thanks everyone. Really hope we won't be wearing masks next year.
