  1. We are ending our cruise in Amsterdam, I previously posted about flight connections and a friend suggested that I take the train to Paris and get a direct flight from there. We do have the time and have never been to Paris Please give me your thoughts/recommendations, if this is a good idea. A few questions that come to mind 1. How far is Amsterdam port to train ( is there staff to help with luggage) 2. Is there good scenery 3. Do you have to go through passport/immigration 4. Is train station in Paris easy access to get cabs/uber to hotels (are there porters to assist with luggage) Thank you in advance for your help
  2. Cruising this spring and looking at possibly extending the trip that ends in Amsterdam, by going to Paris. A friend suggested taking the train. Looking for input from travelers that have done this so as to see if this is a viable option. Your thoughts and suggestions, please Thank you
  3. Not sure if previous message posted so if it did, I apologize for the duplication This is our first time on Oceania, we are in concierge class. Our final payment is due this week and travel agent also requested our preferred dinning times for each night of the cruise as well as which nights for specialty restaurants. She said she will make them all. I have read on this board that some people make them at 12:01 the day they open up. Should I leave it up to the TA or should I be one of those that stays up all night making reservations??? How hard is it to change on board? I know there are only 1250 people on board but how small are the restaurants that I have to worry about getting the requested times especially when I am in concierge level I really need help and advice..... PLEASE
  4. We are sailing on Oceania for the first time this fall. We are in concierge class and travel agent asked me for my preferred time for dinner reservations for each night of the cruise as well as which night we preferred for the specialty restaurants. She told me that she would handle it. I have also read that people go on at 12:01 to make their own reservations Should I be doing this online or does she have a contact at Oceania that she goes through? Can changes be made once onboard? Do you share tables? As you can see, lots of questions and concerns. I know there are only 1250 quests and I am wondering how hard it is to get your requested time other than 9 pm. Please give some insight as to how and what to do. Thank you
  5. We just finished a trip that started in Buenos Aires and started three days prior to the cruise. We used Gyde&Seek and chose a private guide for all three days (she picked us up at the airport) and ended three days later at the port. They can customize your day. The guide we used was Ariel for the entire three days even though it shows her specialty as Jewish history, absolutely phenomenal!!!!
  6. Any suggestions on what there is to do there for a day? Can you hook onto tours/guides outside of the terminal?
  7. My wife has Parkinson's, she can walk somewhat and she insists not to give in and order a wheel chair for getting off the plane and going thru customs. Can someone out there give me a little insight as to how much walking will be involved before we finally get to the car service that we have ordered? I am leaning toward ordering a wheelchair thru AA but not looking to start our vacation off with an argument when we first arrive, Thank you in advance for your information
  8. use viator, no need for cash, its all prepaid before hand
  9. look into Viator, you can use a credit card
  10. texting works, use Whats Ap. Streaming (movies etc) is not good
  11. I was not concerned about coming back to the US, my question was about boarding in BA for the cruise on the Infinity. I know there is no testing on the Infinity this week for the cruise to Patagonia but that boards in Chili (friend on that cruise) At this point since nothing is on the Celebrity website and on the Argentina website it states that no testing is required to enter the country, that its not going to be an issue unless something changes in the next 90 days.
  12. That’s my problem, nothing is listed for Argentina
  13. Did she use a proctor or have to use a site in BA for testing? How many days before do they require testing?
  14. What are the testing requirements for boarding for this upcoming South America season? I looked at the website and could not find anything listed for Argentina. Looking to travel to Buenos Aires a few days early and depending on the boarding requirements will have to set up a proctored test and or self test and take a picture. Please shed some light on this Thank you
  15. We are scheduled to fly to Buenos Aires on April 1 (arriving April 2 8:00 am) from Miami and just wondering (best guest estimate) of how long the process is from the time we land until we can meet a car service? I know that there are extenuating circumstances such as luggage delays, number of flights, number of people to be processed, etc. I am finding that most car services have a set time that they will wait. If I had somewhat of an idea from those of you out there that have gone through customs in Buenos Aires, I would have a better idea of what type of service to set up as well as best time to schedule for touring the day of arrival. Thank you in advance for your help.
