  1. Two questions. We are a family of 12 using 5 cabins. According to Princess you have too have an adult in each cabin. Question 1. Can we rearrange the names so the kids are in one cabin and the parents are in another? We want to make sure the plus package would transfer to the correct person. Note all 5 cabins are together. Second question. The cabins with 3 would only allow the Princess Plus for 2 as the 3rd person was free. Can I add them to the Princess Plus?
  2. Started booking a cruise on the Regal for a late 2024 December cruise. We will have 6 teenagers ages from 14-19. We had been on a cruise last Christmas with all of them and parents on a Carnival cruise. The kids had a great time, dancing on the deck, the shows and just hanging out. I'm wondering if there could be anything similar for actives. I'm guessing that at this time of year, there will be a lot of families on this and shouldn't be a problem.
  3. I know the thing to do here is to blast the customer service for everything they don't do. I'd like to give a shout out to them for excellent service. I called yesterday to see if I could get a reduction in my fare due to a price drop. As usual I was on hold for a few minutes, maybe 5 or so, then an announcement came on to tell me the wait would be 30 minutes but I could get a call back and not loose my place in line. I opted for the call back and within 20 minutes I was talking with Mae in the Philippines. Told her I was mock booking a cruise I have booked in August 2024 and the price had dropped $150.00/person. After a few more minutes on hold, she had completed the change and emailed a new invoice. Great service Mae!

  5. What class of mini suites fall into the reserve collection? I've booked a MA cabin but can't tell if its fall into the Reserve Collection class. I think it has to be a M1 but not sure. Help!!
  6. A few comments on our family cruise over Christmas on the Glory out of New Orleans. We we were not sure what to expect as we have never been on a Carnival ship. The ship was in good condition, staff was great and very attendant. Embarkation was easy and fast. Debarkation was a different story. Instructions were given as to where to go and when and we would be told when to leave. Problem was everyone ignored the instructions and just lined up to leave. Mass confusion!! The ship was full and everyone was behaving themselves. The shows were really good. The bad. The food was really bad. The only good places to eat were Guy's and pizza. We ate in the dinning room every night expecting the food to get better but it never did. Every meal I had was over done, chicken, steak, seafood, didn't matter. We had 6 teenagers with us and they would always order more than one item, wishing something would be ok to eat. I guess being a Princess cruiser we have been spoiled as far as the food goes. And this was our first cruise since covid. Our cabin was great. We had an accessible suite, it was the largest cabin we've ever had on any cruise we've been. #7228 Overall, the cruise was good. As I said we had 6 teens and 5 adults. Carnival fit the bill for the teens and 3 of the 5 adults. Not so much for us two 75 year olds. As a side note. Since we were in a suite with the suite amenities and the others were in regular balcony cabins, We opted for the FTTF and it was well worth it for our group. I have to say that we will not be on Carnival again, not because it was not a good experience (except the food) but more so because of our age and the age of most of the folks on the ship at that time.

  8. My grandson asked if he could wear golf shorts in the MDR. He's 16 if that makes a difference.
  9. We are a large group (12) and 5 cabins. Four balconies and one suite. We have boarding times of 10:30-11 but 2 cabins have 11:30-12. My question to all you seasoned Carnival cruisers is, will we all be allowed to board at the earlier time or do we have to wait until the later time? Do we have to board at the time noted? We all have FTTF and our cabin is a suite with the priorities of a suite.

  11. I've had a scooter for a very long time. I learned a long time ago to ride my scooter to the gate, gate check it, ride it down to the plane, let the ground crew take it to the hold. Make sure you notify the crew at the gate that you will be gate checking your scooter. It will be waiting for you at the door of the airplane when you arrive. If you have to change planes, it will be the same procedure. As a side note, you will need some extra time, as the scooter is usually the last one unloaded and brought up to the plane. Delta is very accommodating, as are both John Wayne and ATL. I hope your suite is accessible and you have let the cruise line know about the scooter. Have a great trip.
  12. I use a scooter full time and will need to go into the MDR riding it. Is there a way to be sure they know this? Also, do you have to sign up for wifi in order to use the app?
  13. Thanks for all the replies. From your comments, the most important thing is I need to change to fixed dinning and then not sure we'll get all 12 together. I'll check with the dinning room as soon as we can board. Seems most of the other comments were standard experiences no matter what line you are on. Good/bad food, good/bad entertainment, long/short lines. Best advice was to go with the flow and have a good time. Which we will and alway have. Thanks again. Just a note, but I have to say something about it as it seems all to frequent on these boards. I requested info about Carnival which I got, however it seemed some had to bash our decision to go with them. When I was putting this together, I had to deal with 12 people's schedules, cost for 12 people, flights, hotels and what was best for my 6 grandkids. Holland and Princes are great lines and we have enjoyed each cruise we've been on. But they are not for kids to enjoy. RCL and NCL looked good but the schedules were not right. for us. Disney was out of the picture because of cost. Due to covid, this was the 4th cruise we booked. I have to have an accessible cabin and I have to start really early to book what I want. (in part because people without disabilities are booking accessible cabins) This whole process started with an Alaskan cruise in August of 2021, being booked in Feb of 2019. I was looking for positive informative comments a I got more than enough, but as usual there are always those who have to put a damper on it.
  14. We are new to Carnival. We have been on Holland and Princes on all of the curises we have taken, so I have no idea what to expect on Carnival. We will be sailing out of New Orleans on December 26, 2022 on the Glory, My wife and I have been on several trips, this time it's a delayed 50th anniversary (from 2021). We are taking our son, his wife and 3 children two boys ages 18, 16, and a girl 15 and our daughter and husband and 3 children a boy 17, and 2 girls 16, and 12. My wife and I have an accessible ocean suite and the families have 2 balcony cabins each. I just want to try to get a heads up as to what to expect on Carnival, On previous trips when traveling with family or friends, we were all allowed to board at the same time because of my handicap priority boarding. I doubt this would happen, but would be nice. We have anytime dinning, and would like to all eat together one meal a day if possible. It's just the little things I'm wondering about. I'm rambling and I'm sure you all get the idea of what we want or need. Thanks
  15. Anyone have thoughts on when or if Faster to the Fun will come back?
  16. I asked the same question. Someone posted this on a reply. I found this while researching the very same question. Just gotta do the math... What is the price for individual drinks on board? Sample of beverage prices - prices and product availability are subject to change without notice. § Beer: starting at $6.50 (mostly 16-ounces) § Wine by the glass: starting at $9.50 § Mixed Drinks: $7.50 - $20.00 § Specialty Cocktails: starting at $10.50 (excluding souvenir glassware and premium selections) § Soft Drinks: $2.75 § Specialty Coffees: $2.50 - $4.25 § Energy Drinks: $4.95 § Water (San Benedetto bottled water and Coconut Water): $1.50 - $5.00 or use this calculatror https://cruisespotlight.com/drink-package-calculator/
  17. Is there transportation from the Embassy to the Carnival terminal?

  19. This will be our first time on Carnival and was wondering how I access my account to fill in the credit card number, see my on board credit and etc. We have always been on Holland or Princess and you call fill all that in right away. We have our children and grand childern going with us and I want to make sure our credit card is listed on their accounts too.
  20. Are drink packages worth the cost. Looking at $60.00/day but have no idea what a beer, glass of wine or mixed drink cost on board.
