We are going to use the Switch telehealth test for our cruise in March coming back to Canada. (We're going to use the Antigen test due to the rules change in March.)
Out of curiosity how long did it take for you to do the tests / upload the results ? We are a family of four and are just curious if we need to buy a day of internet to do it on the ship the day before or maybe we can do it at 6AM when we dock in port.
You need the premium internet to perform the test n not sure if can only buy one day on the ship. It takes approx an hour from start to finish of one test.
As u only require the rapid Antigen test by March I would look into having it perform at the airport or wait til u r docked on the way back.

I was just on the MG and found the same thing, and realized the room door wasn't totally shut so caused a wind noise. Having said this the MG has sliding doors and I have not been on the Horizon so this just suggestion

i'm from Canada too. Does this suffice for crossing back in to Canada? Starting March 1 we only need an antigen test. So you get the test from switch health, then bring it, then what? is is a rapid test? Do they supervise your test via screen time? Do they confirm your results?
As I needed the PCR test I have no idea about the Antigen test. Yes the RT Lamp test is suffice for flying back to Canada.
My total test took less then 45 mins from start to finish. They watch you swab, you put on a 30 min timer, once you see the result , you take a picture, upload to your account and then they email you the official results
Going forward I will just get the Antigen test at the airport so less things to pack and results are quick and easy

Hi Barb.
Did you use a tablet or did you use your phone? Any tips, or was it pretty straight forward?
thanks for the info
The test is made for Android or IPhone phones. It says u can use a tablet but you have to have an internet connection so if can connect to the ships internet with ur tablet you will be good to go.
One big tip, don't put the batteries in he analyzer until you are actually on the call, this way if it malfunctions the health person sees it and puts the email in for the refund

I used my RT Lamp test on Friday while on a sea day heading back to Florida with no issues and customs had no issues taking it.
Though my boyfriend's test became invalid as the analyzer malfunctioned so we got refunded for that test and so we got his PCR test done once we got to the airport by a company there.

curious what you mean? How did you test from the ship?
I bought my test prior to going on the ship and brought it with me. In Canada we buy from Switch Health PCR RT Lamp test for people who travel

I was on the MG this past week and bought the Thermal room pass. I must say I was not impressed at all. It was loud as people must think they were in one of the deck Jacuzzis when in the mineral pool. The pool could only fit 3 people on the metal seats and loud with the water going in and out of thr vents. The heated beds surrounded the pool were constantly full as 10 for a ship capacity is 5300 is not enough. Only 2 steam rooms and 1 salted room for ship capacity again not enough.
Only once was the place actually quiet for about half an hour then one lady came in got in the pool and starting talking very loudly to others in the pool about what she was going to be doing once she was off the ship.
I found in all the place very badly designed for the size of the ship and won't buy the week pass again.
Next year I am back on the Magic and will buy the package as it is much bigger, smaller ship capacity and much more quieter.
Anyone else's thoughts?

I have back and hip issues too so I use a pillow to lay my leg on when I slept on my side which I found helped. I also have an adjustable bed at home with a soft top so need to ensure my leg was supported while on my side. Hope this makes sense.

Rudi was awesome 👌, we truly enjoyed our meal this past week and would definitely go again

I did my PCR test (canadian traveller which is required) on the Mardi Gras on Friday on the premium internet and had no issues connecting.

Last Thursday Feb 10 to Orlando was at 10:15 and checking bags n customs were the longest wait times about 40 mins each, as the security line was literally a walk though and we needed the 3 hours in total. From what I understand your bags need to checked 90 minutes prior to your flight and if not you have to be rebooked

Hi I was wondering what bars r open on the MG on embarkation day? Is there a quiet one no one knows about or less known?
TIA

Morning it is time to check in for my Feb cruise but unable to add credit card for OB purchases. It only allows a US zip code not a postal code. Any ideas on how to do with this? Do I have to wait til get to the terminal?
TIA

FYI John doesn't have magical powers over the Food and Beverage Managers, he doesn't outrank them so I would take a screenshot of his response.
I did take a screen shot n saved his post to my phone. And if it doesn't work all is good.

I used them a few years ago & they added a couple of dollars since the value of them was low. I still have a couple. I should bring them & ask on my cruise next month(I have cheers so I won't need them)
I can hope they will let me use them as I to have the Cheers this cruise too...hmm maybe with these I can get more then the daily 15...😄

I remember when they ended them and yes they gave a specific date they had to be used by. OP your best bet would be to post on John Healds Facebook page and see what his response is. I’m on your sailing and chances are none of the crew on board will have a clue as to what those are.
I just did post on his FB Thanks for the advice. Yes I figured I would have to go to GS to find out for sure.

Hi
We have a flight on a Thursday morning at 1030 to Orlando. Trying to book the Antigen test at the airport prior to flight so it is also good for cruise on Sat. What is the time line now to get though security and check in? Is it 3 or 4 hours to be there prior to flight?
TIA

I had 3 plans in case one went sideways. I bought the PCR RT Lamp test and brought them, made appts at the airport in case the ones I bought failed and one did in my case, and 3rd I asked once in board if the cruise line did them which they don't.
All worked out and was all quite simple. My anxiety is what was the worst.
