  1. It's not the cruise line's buck. He was exposed before he got on the ship and hopefully didn't infect anyone while on the ship. But I would hope that Joe would take some personal responsibility knowing that he did increase his exposure chances by travelling and takes the proper precautions to prevent spread upon his return.
  2. I think that's why the first cruises planned will be short ones. In my opinion, this reduces, though doesn't eliminate, the likelihood of transmission while pre-symptomatic on a 3-4 day cruise if on average, symptoms appear 5-6 days after exposure and you can be contagious 24- 48 hours before symptoms appear. So Joe would likely start becoming increasingly contagious on debarkation day.
  3. All of mine are now at 10 days out. They must've still been updating them. My 4 day cruise has a 60 day final payment date. I guess that's normal for the shorter cruise? The rest are 90 days.
  4. I'm doing a b2b on the Horizon also! I start on the 12/5/21 one.
  5. 2020 and 2021 cruises. My 2022 and 2023 cruises are 60 days out, the same date that final payment is due.
  6. If I were booking a new cruise, I wouldn't book earlier than summer of 2021. I already have a January and April cruise booked though so that's easy advice for me to give.
  7. Yes. The Spirit class ships have the true bowling alley balconies. Others might have the L shaped cabins which have a longer than standard balcony, but not as long as the bowling alley balcony.
  8. My next Carnival cruise is for April 2021 on the Breeze. It was supposed to be on the Radiance but the ship was changed because the renovation wouldn't be completed in time. I will be going to St Maarten, St Kitts, PR, and GT. I've never been to any of these ports before. My only other cruise before was on the Valor in December to Cozumel and Progreso. I'm excited for everything. I didn't do anything cruisey on my last one. I might even try my luck in the casino since I have an unexpected $200 in OBC. I want to try craps and roulette.
  9. Yeah. Mine is a 4 day cruise out of Miami. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  10. Thanks. I was just wondering if I needed to take that into consideration when I make my specialty restaurant reservation.
  11. I was able to make my MDR reservations at 90 days for my 1/14 cruise on the Getaway.
  12. Is there a special menu in the MDR for dress up or not night like how Carnival has on their formal night?
  13. If the CDC says that wearing a mask by the pool is required in order for us to allow cruising, what do y'all expect the cruise lines to say? Now I am not saying that the CDC handed down these rules, but I seriously doubt they would've said that any safety guidelines the cruise lines proposed that didn't have that as a requirement was sufficient.
  14. I thought that I had read something like that in the Healthy Sailing recommendations (time limits for saunas etc. and restrictions on number of people) but when I looked for it last night, I couldn't find it.
  15. During that first round of cancellations (March/April) I got some really good deals for 2021 and 2022 cruises. NCL was running a 30% off sail and I had a 20% off coupon because of my cancellation. Besides those, I haven't noticed that much of a difference in pricing if I wanted to rebook the same cruise as one that was cancelled. My January cruise that was booked well over a year ago is basically the same price right now. It's actually a little cheaper now factoring in my added costs for the free airfare perk.
