where in god's name do these people get their brains, or did they miss out entirely.

posts about unstopping cruise ships, uncaring captains, etc. etc. are too stupid to be believed. that ship was UNSTOPPABLE, got it? end of discussion.

people out there playing chicken with a cruise ship, I hope they are billed for the rescue and unable to hit the big pocket for their stupidity..

Sorry but I think you may have offended a lot people with this statement.

We heavy tippers are not looking for anything more . we feel you get what you pay for.

And in my opinion if you don't tip well you are Cheap.

Or you honestly received bad service.

More likely the person is cheap.

you are NOT, you are no better or worse than the rest of us.

Throwing your money away earns you no respect [as the bartender most likely says, oh theres the old fool, as he laughs at the stupidity of of some passengers].

passengers that do not bribe are not CHEAP, passengers that do are laughed at and perceived as fools.

If servers expect it, they need to be fired.

and lets not forget the individuals in their wheelchairs or using walkers, they should be allowed on first.

why? and I am serious, why should a wheelchair go first? that person is more comfortable than I am standing there unable to breathe.

How bad is Jamaica?

Reading all the comments regarding Jamaica being an unsafe port, how does it compare with Mexico? For those of you reluctant to check out the place would you stay on the ship there too? or only take a ship tour?

I have always just grabbed a taxi or local tour driver and have never had a problem, and been all over including Acapulco in the height of those problems.

If your daughter might or might not wish to go, I'd leave it be for now.

If your daughter decides not to go, you might consider inviting somebody else to join you. as long as one name (yours) from the original reservation remains, it is generally pretty easy to change other names.

I,d wait to repriced the cruise until you are sure you'll be solo or not. even then, you do not have to reprice the trip...your daughter can be a no-show.

'no show' makes no sense to me, by that time the full fare is paid, and non refundable. I doubt they would let the solo use any of it. Trying to use insurance to recover that fare is doubtful. Am I missing something?

There is a very good chance I may be removing my travel companion also.

I've been on all 3. If you want quality, I'd put Hal #1, Princess #2, and consider no more :)
