I finally got mine to complete, it turns out the the phone numbers on our profiles were incorrect (they had the 0 in front of the number that isn’t needed when using +44 so when I added it in the check in I guess it was trying to validate against that. I reset the phone numbers, waited 30 minutes tried again and now it’s fine 😀

At first I didn't know. I had to call and be on hold almost an hour. It apparently was the area where we enter our phone and email number, then we have to go to the email and certify it, and then reply to the text on our phone. Unfortunately, dh and I have new phones and the texting wasn't working. Called again, on hold only 45 minutes this time and a very nice rep. did it for us (hopefully, she said to wait 24 hours for the edocs to be printed.) I also thought I read I could skip over the picture, but it wouldn't let me go on to the next page. I sure hope they don't use that picture.......I had no idea I look this bad in the morning!
We did the email part but it never comes up with anything for verifying the phone numbers. I will call tomorrow if it doesn’t update

I haven't been on Norwegian for years, but on-line checking seems so much more complicated than before. I recently did one for Royal Caribbean and I had no problem, but I had to continually call on-line support to find out why I was stuck at 85% for Norwegian.😮
My checkin today is the same. In one place it says we are checked in and another screen has no tick in the contact info. I was on chat earlier and they said we are checked in and it should update over the next 24 hours or so. Did you get yours fixed ? I changed and verified everything using iPad and laptop and it’s still at 84% on the summary page. On check in page it says completed. I will wait and see 😀

We have air travel booked through NCL flying from Manchester UK to Miami via Munich on Lufthansa.
i believe the air programme is different here as we don’t get ‘free’ flight offers and I got my flight details the day I booked my cruise in August 😀

We are sailing on 9th April on the Joy (71 day) and got the email tonight. We have been fully paid for a few weeks even though it isn’t due until Feb 9th.
I was a bit shocked
-
I have something similar on my April 2022 cruise on the Joy but worked out that it was the £35 per passenger admin charge I had to pay to move my cruise from the Breakaway. On my invoice is shows £70 admin charge and £168 for DSC but my service charge on my summary was increased by the £70. All figures tally up so I guess it’s just how it’s recorded on the system

Please forgive me but I have honestly searched as much as I could bear for the answer to whether the club balcony suite has a shower or a tub/shower combo. Deck 11 midship if it matters. I am so hoping for no tub.
We are booked on deck 12 and it’s a shower in ours, I don’t think the Joy has tubs

We are sailing in the Jade next week and our upgrade last night. Ocean view to club balcony, not bothered about any noise, hubby is a bit deaf and I always travel with ear plugs. It’s just nice to have a bit more space

Hello,
How long was the process from first bid to the upgrade being approved? We got our upgrade email on 20 august and our first bid was on 21 august... nothing except email that our bids have been received... they all say pending?
We sail on the 12th got the upgrade last night. My lower bid was set to expired and the one we got was in processing for a couple of hours then we got the email to say we got it

You will have to let us know what category you were bidding from and to and how much you ended up paying for the upgrade.
We got upgraded from Ocean View to club balcony on a poor offer. Our Balcony bid was fair and only £15 less. I am happy 😀

It's not on the main site, it's on the "Prepare for your cruise" microsite that gets emailed out at 21 days:
https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/prepare-for-your-cruise/2021
The FAQ has been removed and on chat today I was told the mandate is removed, a fellow passenger was told this on the phone today too

That is usually an excellent sign! Or at least it was pre-COVID.

I have/had 2 bids in and when I checked just now one is set to expired and the other is processing so fingers crossed this is because we might get the one that is in processing

So as I see it . From UK. Test is not compulsory but if found positive at the port boarding will be denied and cost will be down to the individual .
But if I have a self test and is negative and I recieve a certificate from a govt recommended site then ncl will just ignore it and test me anyway .
I sail jade on Sunday
If you have a certificate I don’t see how they would know if it was a self test or not, we have booked ours at the airport

I just got off a chat with NCL because the prepare to sail page was changed yesterday but the line about UK guests was still there with no FAQ to refer to and this is the transcript
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:53:44): there is a bit of confusion regarding the testing requirements for UK guests
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:54:14): the requirement was removed last Thursday from the main FAQ page but remained on the prepare to sail page
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:54:49): however yesterday that was also removed but the note *Residents of the United Kingdom are required to provide additional proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test. See FAQs below. is till ther
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:55:00): with no FAQ to veiw
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:55:07): it is very confusing
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:55:17): https://www.ncl.com/uk/en/prepare-for-your-cruise/2021
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:55:47): we already plan to have a test before flying but the website update is not consistant
NCL (02/09/2021, 11:57:33): Thank you for your request
NCL(02/09/2021, 11:58:30): Could you please confirm your sailing date and the name of the ship?
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:58:45): we are sailing on the Jade on 12th September
Marianne (02/09/2021, 11:59:36): There is no longer any FAQ aimed Specifically at UK guests 🙂
NCL (02/09/2021, 12:01:15): Yes, please let me assist
NCL(02/09/2021, 12:07:39): Whilst pre-travel PCR/Antigen test are now a strong recommendation for all guests as opposed to compulsory – we will still only accept proof of a negative test administered by a third party. Self-tests/at home tests will not be accepted as they can be too easily falsified.
NCL (02/09/2021, 12:08:06): Guests who choose not to have a test with above stipulations prior to travel, who then test positive for covid-19 at the port, will of course be denied boarding and will be required to cover any quarantine related costs themselves (meaning that unfortunately NCL cannot assist in this scenario).
Marianne (02/09/2021, 12:08:56): yes that is how I read it, so this means that for UK guests it is no longer compulsory but advised as it is for all other guests, is that correct
NCL (02/09/2021, 12:11:55): Yes, that is strongly recommended but the mandate has been removed. Please however note that you are still required to comply with any requirement of the country you are entering to embark (which may require testing).
Marianne (02/09/2021, 12:12:22): thats great thank you, it looks like whoever updated the page forgot to remove the line
Marianne (02/09/2021, 12:12:23): *Residents of the United Kingdom are required to provide additional proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test. See FAQs below.
Marianne (02/09/2021, 12:13:07): We are testing anyway but just wanted confirmation -
It just got even more confusing because the page looks to have been updated
it still has the small text about Uk guests but the FAQ you are supposed to refer to is gone. You couldn’t make this up

My sailing left on the 21st, I got the upgrade email on the 19th. Some people got them a couple days earlier than that, and some got them on the 20th. NCL likes to keep you waiting, lol.
How did that work for e docs? We’re you able to re download them or was it fine to use the ones with the old cabin? It says they become unavailable 3 days before sailing . We have bids in so curious how it works as never done it before

I've never received the prepare for your cruise email despite sailing in less than 21 days
Neither did we and we sail on the 12th. I called my PCC yesterday and he has raised it to tech support to find out why. I also asked about the info in the link not matching what is on the main FAQ regarding UK passengers as this was removed from main FAQ last week. He will try to find out but did say that it may get updated in the coming days when the situation regarding the latest EU stuff is more clear. We have a test booked anyway so it wont matter to us if it gets changed or not 🙂

Our cruise is on the 12th and we haven’t had this or anything else except for confirmations of thing we booked. Will reach out to our PCC because email addresses are all fine
