  1. Indy has a 13 also, but no staterooms on it. Congrats Soremekun!
  2. That really sucks. I agree with calling the agent directly, and escalating if possible. If they don’t respond, call the Royal Redeployment Department at 888-281-9344.
  3. I haven’t cruised this specific ship, but have noticed a ton of canceled Coco Cay port visits due to weather lately, and no canceled Labadee. Not sure if summer makes a difference though, just my 2¢ on itineraries.
  4. If you have the Internet package, you could use iMessage (or Facebook messenger if android users).
  5. In my experience, they’ve tried to put us back into the exact same room if at all possible. When you or your travel agent contact them, just let them know your intentions with your friends and they should be able to assist, especially if the bookings are linked.
  6. I’m not imagining we’ll have many purchases onboard besides maybe 2-3 drinks a day and maybe $50 in arcade spending. So I’m considering a cash account as I really don’t use credit cards often and have a lower limit. With a cash account, do you prepay or settle up at the end before leaving? Do you literally have to pay cash, or can I pay off the account with my debit card? We prepaid gratuities, so could we realistically cash out the last night onboard and avoid the morning line?
  7. We had our Explorer of the Seas cruise canceled for a charter, then rebooked a week later. Then they chartered that cruise too! We finally were given an option to change ships to Indy and change itineraries and took it. We did get $200 OBC each time we switched, so that was nice (basically they gave us $50 a person each time they chartered).
  8. We plan to use lanyards also. I am not planning on giving the kids one, as I imagine them losing it or hitting each other with them.
  9. Also recommend the CDC website. My doc recommended one of the Hepatitis shots, updated flu shot, and updated tetanus shot. I already had Typhoid from my honeymoon, not sure if that’s on the list. It really depends on where you’re visiting and what you’re doing while there. A trip to the beach won’t be as risky as an overnight stay.
  10. Thanks! Indy does have babysitting, which was a selling point for me. While I imagine most of my time will be spent with them, it will be nice to see a show as a date night. Great tip on taking a box of cereal with you, I swear they can never have too many snacks lol.
  11. First time cruising this February and we’re bringing the 5yr old and 2.5yr old. Anyone have any experience and best tips to share? We’re cruising on Indy and have a panoramic ocean view cabin, if that helps.
  12. I actually thought the Disney one was more negative than Royals. Royal’s article seemed to stick to the truth, things people could find on the FAQ page.
  13. Did you get the Royal Travel Protection? If so, you’re entitled to 75% back as a future cruise credit if canceling for any reason. Sorry to hear about the health scares, and hope everyone is ok soon.
  14. I can’t say from personal experience, but I’ve read it’s typically a 15min disembarkation whereas the self-assist line may be longer depending on how many people use it. Maybe someone here or under the key review page will have some experience?
  15. I know the Key is a debated purchase, but the one consistent I’ve read is that disembarking is quick. Might be a worth it purchase in this case.
