Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are looking a cabin 9258 on Equinox. On the map of the cabins it shows the connecting door near the balcony. Is there anything missing from or different about a connecting cabin? In the pictures I have seen of other balcony cabins, it does not look like there is room for a door on any of the walls. On the map it looks like the door would be at the foot of the bed for cabin 9258.
  2. Thanks for the information and the links. This will be a big help.
  3. We are staying near the Vancouver Cruise Port the night before our cruise. Are there any stores near Canada Place, like Walmart or Target where we could pick up a couple things that we can not bring on our flight to Vancouver, like disinfectant spray and wine? Paul
  4. Thanks Bird Travels, this is great information. Since we can let Port Valet know that we have prepaid for our luggage, we will likely use Port Valet and not have to worry about the handling of our luggage.
  5. After we disembark in Seattle from our RCI Cruise, we are thinking of doing the Grand Seattle City Tour Excursion ending with airport drop-off. We have a few questions for anyone that has done this post cruise excursion. How was the tour, would it be hard to make the 8:00 am excursion with a ship arrival time of 6:00 am, and how is luggage handled? We don't think it is wise to have RCI take our luggage to the port, as it will sit there for hours since our 2:58 flight unfortunately was just bumped out to 4:58 p.m. We know about the Seatle Port Valet service, but I have read on the boards that they charge the airline baggage fee even when your airline has waived the fee. And also that it is a hassle to get the airline baggage fee refunded. So, we are planning on doing self disembarkaction taking our luggage with us. Sheila and Paul

  7. We will be cruising Alaska in May next year (2023) and will be in Skagway mid May. We would like to take the White Pass Scenic Railway excursion. The cruise line is offering a round trip lasting 2 hours 45 mins at 9:00 am and at 1:00 pm. So, we are looking for advice from people who have experience with this excursion on the pros and cons to choosing the 9:00 am excursion vs the 1:00 pm excursion. Sheila and Paul
  8. Thanks, we do have Global Entry and plan on using Port Valet, so we will only have our carry on luggage to get from the ship to the airport.
  9. We'll be returning to Chicago after disembarking RCI Ovation in Seattle. We dock at 6:00 a.m. and are wondering if it is unrealistic to think that we can make an 11:00 a.m. flight, after having to go through port customs and airport security. Has anyone had this experience with this type of time frame to make a flight out of Seattle? Also has anyone used Port Valet? Looking for advice based on other people's experiences.
