  1. I may be mistaken, but I believe all of the public restrooms on Allure are ADA compliant and the ADA stalls have plenty of room for a person, chair, and companion.

At the very least, I do know the restrooms outside of the theatre on decks 4 and 5 do have ADA/companion stalls.

As for your second question, on Deck 4, which is the lower entrance, there is an area at the top of the theatre for wheelchair users. It is marked with a handicap symbol. It is the first row of chairs that you see right as you enter the theatre.

  2. I would always prefer to stay in Miami. Such a more interesting city. Better restaurants, better beaches, better shopping. Miami actually has some culture. Ft. Lauderdale is about as soulless as your local shopping mall.

Wowwww. I completely disagree with your assessment of FTL, as a Miami resident who is very familiar with both cities.

You're right in that Miami has great restaurants, a more diverse culture, nice beaches. Fort Lauderdale also has all of those things. The beaches in FTL are just as beautiful, with the added benefit of some of them being much less crowded.

Food is subjective, there are lots of wonderful restaurants in Fort Lauderdale.

Shopping is great too. Miami has more of the high end Kardashian-style shopping, and Fort Lauderdale has all the great outlets.

Both cities have their own merits and a rich and vibrant culture, and shouldn't be compared.

That said, if I had to fly, I'd stay in Miami if I was leaving from POM just for convenience.

  3. The reason I feel that it needed to be said is because people in general FAR TOO OFTEN use the excuse of an allergy when in fact they DO NOT actually have one!!

If you do not like something or can not be around it then don't be. But don't use the excuse that you "Have an Allergy" when in fact you simply don't want to be around smoke!

People who have actual Life Threatening Allergies will thank you for correcting your choice of words.

When cigarette smoke causes someone's asthma to flare up and they have an attack and CANNOT BREATHE, I think that counts as life threatening.

  4. I'm on Tapatalk so can't see a poll option.

I've eaten at both and loved them both. At Izumi I did the hibachi instead of the a la carte sushi.

Sabor is delicious and it is a great value. Good size portions for not very much money. Plus the food is really good and the service that we had was very friendly. Bonus on the excellent margaritas.

The Izumi hibachi was a lot of fun and the food and presentation were both excellent.

If I had to choose only one, I would choose Sabor for the value, and because you can do a similar hibachi experience on land pretty much anywhere.

  5. I'm on a 3 day Harmony cruise later this year. Want to make the most of my time. Is Wonderland more of an "experience" or is the food actually good and filling? If it's all just spoonfuls of liquefied somethingorothers it might not be worth it for a shortie cruise.

Also what's the dress code like for Wonderland? Since it's a short cruise we were hoping to go all casual.

  6. Can you please let me know, if this is the other June 19th Allure Scoper? I want to make sure I have the correct person?

Kinda unsure, with the description on her profile.

I don't see any other profile that is Close.

She is following a bunch of other cruisers, so I think you have the right person.

  7. Hi Pharaoh, We have enjoyed your scopes, as well as many others these past few months. We love the community here and it's willingness to share their vacation experiences--how cool is everyone here? Because of this and the fact that we are traveling with no children on this sailing, we are here to rescue you (in 3 weeks) from Allure withdrawal! :):) Valerie and I plan to scope our sailing and provide some good cruise pixels for consumption.

Through an interesting twist of fate (initial reviews on inaugural Empress sailings scaring us) we have switched to the Allure of the Seas July 03, 2016 sailing.

Looking forward to providing you a fun review.

That's great! Going from the smallest ship in the fleet to one of the biggest is quite an exciting jump, haha. I'll bet I'm already following you but I'll double check.

You're right about the little periscope community we've got going here. I've been following along since late last year although I wasn't really active until my cruise in May, but it's so great that our group is growing and more and more people are joining along. Can't wait to see how it continues to grow and change over time. :)

I thought haileybailey was scoping allure soon??

You're right! I believe she's on next week. She needs to be added to the list.

  8. What did you do with the scooter during the day when you were in the room?

I also suggest to the OP to see if they can get an accessible cabin.....especially if 2 people are using a scooter.

During the second cruise where the bed was by the balcony, we just put the scooter in the room. It was a tight fit, but it was fine. The stateroom attendant put the coffee table on the balcony so we would have room for the scooter.

Getting the scooter in and out of the room was a challenge, but I did the driving in and out for my mom.

During the first cruise where the bed was by the closet, we were very far aft, and the stateroom attendant told us to just leave it in the hall during the day. We didn't ask to do that, he told us to. To be fair, we didn't spend very much time in the room during the day. We were out and about most of the time.
