Rudy’s Seafood Grill reviews, please

We thought it was excellent, surprisingly so. My steak was better than the steakhouse. Our meal was also comped and I would pay for it. -
What is the Best Itinerary on Carnival?
UGACamper replied to bdeluca03's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
To answer OP's question - ABC is by leaps and bounds the best regular Caribbean itinerary. For me personally, a Vista Class ship (Havana) or Excel with A, B, and Grand Turk would be the best of the best. YMMV. -

On the Spirit earlier this month, I was able to order a custom omelet - ham and veggie no tomato. -
Ultra Casino Cruise Offers Are On The Way!

I also saw this when pricing out some cruises, but it was an Elite and Premier??? Weird. -

Agree that our other casino offers are better. Holding out for new Elite offers hopefully dropping in late April or May. -

Current Elite expires April 5 - when should new offers come out? Really torn on booking an Ultra tomorrow or waiting on new Elite choices.

How many points in casino needed for free cruise offers?
UGACamper replied to RoyalC's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The secret algorithm is to find who has the most disposable income that can run through the machines. DINKs, no mortgage, high credit score, high limit credit cards, etc. We came home from one trip $4k in the hole (prepaid our next cruise haha) and got Elite offers. We had been on 4 prior cruises, lowly Red Cards, and had never before had a casino offer other than the basic discount plus DOUCasino. We skipped over getaway, premier, and ultra. We just got off the Elite cruise and have received our first Ultra offers. Trying to wait for the next round of Elites but the Ultra is looking pretty good. I like busy casinos. -

I must be in the minority in liking a crowded casino! Lively atmosphere, machines going off everywhere! I think it adds to the fun! DH has early access on 19th and I can book 21st - we are hoping to be able to book two rooms on our offer so our niece and nephew can come along! Are Ultra codes bookable more than once? Elites we can use each code 3 times. -
Seeking Alaska/Carnival Spirit Reviews
UGACamper replied to MistyRo76's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Just got off Spirit but wasn’t to Alaska this time of year 🤪. She’s worn in areas but pretty well taken care of. Liked the layout. Extended balconies not anything special in my opinion. Happy to try to answer any specifics. -
Ultra Casino Cruise Offers Are On The Way!

The giveaways in the casino “seem” better than the ones on our recent Elite cruise. Disregarding the Elite benefits, are Ultras a little better in this area? -
I do agree that the quantity of high level players in the casino was obvious. It was nothing to see many folks well north of 50000 points and all they were playing was slots. As we are newbies, we were certainly on the bottom of the "attention" scale. The hosts did call us by name when seen in other areas of the ship so that was nice.

The offers with Funplay have a more limited number of sailings to choose from than the ones without Funplay. The Elite benefits are what makes Elite offers special, not the Funplay in my opinion. I just got off our first Elite cruise on the Spirit. The casino was full, but there was always a seat available. There are only around 100 Elite cruisers on each sailing, so if the casino is packed, its the rest of the guests on board being there, not Elite's fault as it is implied. YMMV, but we thought the benefits, gifts, and special attention were enough to keep booking under these offers as opposed to other casino offers.

Does anyone know Steakhouse chef turn around?
UGACamper replied to ninjacat123's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
We just got off the Spirit and our MDR lobster was considerably better than the steakhous lobster. We ordered the same steaks again another night and while the first night was good, the second time they were honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, land or sea.
