I did this over Xmas with my Chromebook using a USB-C to HDMI cable - worked fairly well, but it did have temperamental moments! Just FYI you can't stream iPlayer when abroad without a VPN, likewise with a few of the other free-to-air channels such as ITV.

Agreed. They could quite easily have delayed leaving Haugesund to let the storm pass through, or even skipping Haugesund completely and missing the storm entirely. I'm quite disappointed in P&O as this extreme storm was forecast for several days prior to it

Quite an eventful night! We had Force 12 winds (captain said over 100 knots, so 110mph+) and the ship was getting thrown about left right and centre at times! I'm not usually scared by this sort of stuff but it was a scary experience!

Does anyone know if the buffet is open at lunchtime on Christmas Day? The formality and lateness of the Christmas Day MDR dinner doesn't appeal to us, so we were planning on having a buffet lunch that day instead as I'm not sure if there are any other options!

does anyone know when they tell you if you've been successful in the bid? It says they could let you know anytime between instantly & the sail date, which is quite a long timeframe!

When do you find out if you've been successful in a bid by the way? Had my email yesterday for my Dec cruise and just wondered when we'd find out! Also wondered, you can bid for more than 1 upgrade, how do they then determine which one to give you?
