Photo Packages - What do you Really Get?
TheBucketLister replied to Monkey0313's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I create a commemorative framed and matted collage so to speak of every cruise we take. I include the embarkation photo as well as a generated map route and the SeaPass cards of everyone. That way I don't have to use my ink and printer paper for the prints. I also like having a digital copy so I can include them in my photo library. Plus my wife creates a photo album for each cruise as well. -
Photo Packages - What do you Really Get?

1. What was the up charge for the unlimited and is it based on what you originally paid for the 100 photos? For example I paid $125 for the package on Anthem. 2. Also there was no option to get a mix of print versus digital, it is either one or the other? -

You could also check ebay. -
Deployment typically happens in Oct/Nov/Dec of each year. For reference, here was the schedule for 2024-2025 (April). RCCL 2024-2025 Deployment Opening Schedule

Do not all DL give coffee cards out when the machine is broken? We were on Liberty recently and the machine was broken and the Diamond Concierge gave out cards to get coffee/espresso/cappuccino elsewhere. This was the first time we experienced a broken machine in the DL.

Not sure about Adventure. But in Chops on some other ships, the entire row by the windows are 2 tops. So I would imagine there may be a possibility, if Adventure has that configuration, you could accommodate a very large party by them just moving multiple tables together. As long as they aren't booked close to capacity. Make Chop's your first stop as soon as you embark and speak to the host/hostess there and see if they can accommodate your request for however many people you have.

Connecting stateroom vs. non connecting
TheBucketLister replied to sargemrs's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There are partitions between every staterooms balcony. Some can be opened up if you have both of the staterooms to make one large balcony. Just ask your stateroom attendant. -
Connecting stateroom vs. non connecting
TheBucketLister replied to sargemrs's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I would agree with this. Anytime I would choose a stateroom guarantee, I would always get a connecting stateroom. After about four-five times, I changed my booking process and made sure I would never get a connecting stateroom again. I may have just had really bad luck, but you hear everything. Fighting, kids yelling, above normal conversational volume, bathroom/closet/balcony doors slamming, TV, and even adult fun time (which may be a plus depending if you are into that sort of thing ๐). If those things bother you, just bring some noise cancelling earbuds or some earplugs just in case. Unfortunately you never know who your neighbor will be, so be prepared just in case. -
"We'll See You Soon!" email
TheBucketLister replied to yogimax's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Do you use a travel agent? Maybe your email address incorrectly got put on another's booking. ๐คทโโ๏ธ I am pretty sure that RC checks that the guest name/DOB match the C&A number before the booking is confirmed, otherwise it throws up an error. So that is probably not a possibility. -
Some of these operators only have specific allotments, then once that allotment is gone, they have no more unless they can get more from the supplier (resort). There may also be certain limitations they have with the supplier as they can only offer X resort on X days during X month or X days out, etc. Like the OP said, if one doesn't have it available, check around, or at least check back occasionally as the days get closer to your port day to see if there is availability.

Sea Pass card vs. Wow band

Good point. -

To answer your question, anything more than zero would be fair. I am not implying that they should give some large amount back in a form of a refund like some here think I am suggesting. I would have be fine with a $25 per stateroom OBC, which costs RC next to nothing to give out. The issue that I have is that they keep doing this stuff because they can. Customer service and goodwill goes a long ways, and any gesture of it would be acceptable to me. -

Not even the point of my post. Yeah I forgot the total that I listed was passengers and crew, but yes, you are correct. @Biker19 -

Right, but nor is it the other 4250 passengers. -
Sea Pass card vs. Wow band
TheBucketLister replied to Kellie in Texas's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just curious. Will they let someone use the Star Class band on a future cruise even if they are not in Star Class? Sounds like a way to get some of the perks of suite class without having a suite. I am referring to some of the benefits that donโt require scanning the band, for example preferred seating. Not advocating for it, nor would I ever do it, but just curious. -

Does anyone know which room to book for the City Cruise Terminal (Royal Caribbean) view? There are City, Premium City, Harbour, and Premium River view rooms. Looking at the hotel it looks like there is only two sides, so I am not sure which one to book (guessing not city). I booked the Premium River view since there were less of these rooms still left to book, but I will change it in case Harbour View is the way to go. If the Harbour View and Premium River View rooms are the same side/view, what if any are the differences, besides room size. I noticed the photos for each seemed to be the same and there was no real description for the differences. Thank you in advance. -
This especially holds true for those limited sailings. We booked a Panama Canal cruise on Radiance in a Grand Suite next October (2024). We booked the morning the deployment was out and got the cruise for just under $6000 for two of us. All suites were sold out within 2 weeks of deployment and now a balcony stateroom is substantially ($2000+) more than what we paid.

Anthem Boarding Time-Arriving Early?????
TheBucketLister replied to teacherman's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I find it is hit and miss and really depends who is manning the queue that day. The same pretty much goes for any port. I have gone to the same port multiple times and some times I see they are refusing early entry for people. Even on days where there are 5-10 people in a queue, they could still deny you. It really comes down to the person and what they are feeling that day, or so it seems. Also if you are in a suite, they have flexible arrival so they will let you in the queue up to one hour prior to your scheduled time. Bottom line is don't count on it, if they do great. -
It will be tight, but not unbearable. I used to cruise with four in an inside stateroom, which is smaller and never regretted it while we were there. Heck, I have even done 5 in an inside stateroom with Carnival (3 teenagers) and it was still doable and those staterooms are even tinier than RC! How much time are you going to spend in the room other than sleeping? The biggest issue I found was for getting ready throughout the day (showers, etc.) Because of the one small bathroom, it does add a lot of additional time to that aspect of your day.

Menโs haircut on Navigator OTS?
TheBucketLister replied to LrgPizza's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Check the cruise planner. Go to Spa Services and then filter by Men's Services. If it is offered on that ship, it should be listed. For example, for Anthem (in my Cruise Planner), a Men's Wet Cut and Style Dry is $32. -
Junior suite Royal Up bid question
TheBucketLister replied to Annicruise2014's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Bidding will more than likely (high probability) net you an obstructed view or accessible junior suite. They are typically the ones that are left until last for those actually booking them. I would go into it thinking that's what you are bidding on and if you get one that is not obstructed or accessible, that would be a nice surprise.
