  1. Most South Western Railway Trains to Southampton Central will stop at Clapham Junction from Waterloo anyway. Depending on which train you take you may have to change at Basingstoke Clapham Junction will be easier as the Purley Train stops there. Being A Sunday it is possible of Engineering works or even a Strike day or Overtime Ban. Check on the National Rail Website Journey Planner nearer the date. Avoid using The Southern service to Southampton Central due to the length of route/time they take. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
  2. May be a good idea to forward them the link showing what obc is currently expected in your correspondence. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit
  3. if you look on the Carnival Shareholder benefit page link https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit It does say The benefit is available on sailings through December 31, 2024.
  4. A very quick system using stockperks, 24hours from booking cruise to receiving notification obc had been applied to a Cunard Cruise.
  5. The first port stop is showing that Iona is berthed in Cadiz since leaving Southampton on Monday.
  6. In my post #9 I was referring to P&O Oceana when it was with the P&O Fleet.
  7. Sealy used to supply Cunard and P&O however Matermoll appear to be supplying P&O now with different types, like Elevation on Brittiana, Majestic on Iona. Even Oceana used to have Matermoll Majestic mattresses
  8. Deck 4 4043 Stateroom Sheltered Balcony with shower curtain 😀
  9. Here are some pictures of Deck 3 Cabins Stateroom 3012 with 2 large Round Windows from the old Photo Gallery 1st Six pictures then Stateroom 2016 deck 2, with One Large Portrait Window From the old Casino Area . Depending on pricing sometimes it is better to go for a Normal Cabin for solo use. The Deck 3 Cabins are in my opinion are the nicest. for an Ocean View.
  10. Off Ventura and believe it or not half a sausage was served (Cut longways and placed on the plate) so it looked like a whole one on the plate at breakfast time in MDR. Also the kitchen were unable to deliver soft poached eggs to the table.
  11. The Thread on Trip advisor, which has been going for over a year may be helpful. It seems presently that if you have travelled to Cuba before 12th Jan 2021 you should be ok for an ESTA . see post 381 onwards may be useful https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g147270-i91-k13891453-o380-Anyone_renewed_an_ESTA_for_US_recently-Cuba.html The link here for US Customs and Boarder Protection https://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/visa-waiver-program/visa-waiver-program-improvement-and-terrorist-travel-prevention-act-faq The last Paragraph may prove helpful "The U.S. Department of State designated Cuba as a State Sponsor of Terrorism (SST) on January 12, 2021.With limited exceptions, a traveler who is found to have visited Cuba on or after this date is not eligible for travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) using an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) and must apply for a visa to travel to the United States. Additionally, a traveler who at the time of application for an ESTA holds dual nationality with both a VWP country and Cuba is not eligible for travel under the VWP using an ESTA and must apply for a visa to travel to the United States. If an ESTA has already been approved and it is later determined that the traveler has been present in Cuba or holds dual nationality with both a VWP country and Cuba, the ESTA will be revoked. Ineligibility for an ESTA is not a bar to travel to the United States. Individuals who are not eligible to travel under the VWP may apply for a visa at any U.S. embassy or consulate."
  12. Just heard that NY Pilots are due to join QM2 for or before 10am. So looks like she will be on her way soon. https://www.nyharborwebcam.com/
  13. Simon Calder often gets things wrong in my opinion. He incorrectly stated that if you have ever visited Cuba and wish to go to the USA you are unable to use an Esta and need a USA Visa. This turned out to be incorrect. Presently it is only if you have visited Cuba after 1st January 2021 you would need a USA Visa.
  14. Southampton’s Runway has not been extended yet, The Airport can only accept small aircraft I think. Bournemouth would be the next Alternative with short coach journey to the port.
