  1. I like the Amazon luggage tag holders. Highly recommended. That said, Platinum and above cruisers should have a roll of packing tape already (along with a kitchen garbage bag) to reinforce the rim of the free laundry bag. I think it is silly to have two tags on a piece of luggage since most already have a normal luggage tag with their name, address, phone on it. Worst case scenario which likely happens one in a hundred times (or less)? You have to spend fifteen minutes getting your bag from the misfit luggage room.
  2. Thanks. I just dove in after my earlier posts. Inside cabin. Prior to 120 day final payment. I applied one, got the confirmation and within an hour an updated invoice showing the $250 payment and equal reduction to final payment due. Wash, rinse and repeat with the second one (i.e. I then did the same with the second CN cert). It seems to have worked just fine despite the terms suggesting that it needs to be a balcony or higher to apply two certs. Is this the first time NCL has published confusing/misleading/inaccurate information on their website??? 🤣 (I also am less than six months out and it was an existing booking) Anyhow, I have another cruise prior to that and will likely buy a couple more CN certs. Having now learned the process, it is certainly worthwhile for me. It took about ten minutes to buy them (yes, I did have to cut off the lady making the sales pitch) and another ten to apply them. That's certainly worth the effort for the $250 savings.
  3. Thanks. I suspected it might be semantics but wanted to clarify. I believe that I have until Monday Feb 6 to try it out. ETA: am I correct in understanding that if I apply them now and cancel before final payment, the CruiseNext certs return to my account?
  4. Help me out here folks. You both stated that a $250 CN can ONLY be used for a deposit on a new booking. I have a cruise booked this Summer, so I already paid the $250 minimum deposit. I just bought two CN's on the Sky last week. This is the first time I have bought any (asleep at the wheel). In consideration of the current offer (ending in two days) can I: a) apply both to my existing reservation and reduce my final payment by $500 b) apply only one to my existing reservation and reduce my final payment by $250 c) apply none to my existing reservation since it is not "new" I will add that the payment page for this existing reservation currently lists both of my new CNs as available to apply. Thanks.
  5. Two platinum in one room. Two vouchers. Can one platinum person share a dinner for two with somebody else not in that room? Thanks.
  6. I think you misread the title of the thread old friend. It's asking about "favorite drink," not "favorite drunk." 🤣 That said, I have the feeling that if ever we do cross paths on a ship, we'll have a lot of fun although neither of us may win the title of favorite drunk. There's a LOT of competition out there, and your description of yourself likely intersects with a large portion of the typical cruise demographic (myself included, except I'm more of a Johnnie Walker drinker when it comes to scotch).
  7. Spicey grey goose bloody Mary, Black Label, Guinness. The three basic food groups on a cruise. Oh yeah, DD orders Prosecco for me at lunch and dinner.😎 I have tried drinking that other stuff, but I really haven't been able to get the point. I'll occasionally mix in a Grey Goose screwdriver. I call it the screwed goose, but it really hasn't caught on. 🤣
  8. Thanks for clarifying. I've only been to Pearl Harbor once, and we just got lucky (no reservations but saw everything we wanted). NCL blessed us with a late night air reservation (first and last time leaving it up to NCL) so we had an entire Saturday to kill. That was back when you could check your bags with your airline whenever, so we dropped the bags at the airport and grabbed a cab to Pearl Harbor. I can't even remember how we got back to the airport. Might have been a bus. 😆
  9. As long as you leave when they tell you to, what's wrong with taking your time?
  10. Why are you folks all in such a big hurry to end your vacations?
  11. You must be among the younger crowd. Us old guys just want sleep.
  12. Okay, that makes sense. Pasting an image into a rich email (no, I'm not sure what term is correct) may be "better" than attaching a .pdf file. I mean, it's not like everybody in the world has access to that free acrobat reader software that has been in universal use for three decades....🤣 But seriously, I think NCL is just behind because of holidays/cutbacks/etc. ETA: I did provide you some additional information at that "other" site. 🐀
  13. I've been on many NCL cruises. I've read this many times on CC. Nobody has EVER tried to direct me anywhere for lunch. It is an internet urban legend. It simply has never happened.
  14. You're a great person. I personally refuse to impose the pain of a traditional funeral upon my family. Nobody deserves that. Just pour my ashes into a 1.75 liter JW black label bottle and toss it off an aft balcony on an NCL ship. (disclaimer: if I don't lose a few pounds, it may take two bottles...😬)
  15. "Fun fitness" sounds like an oxymoron to me. 🤣 (disclaimer: I drag my old/sorry butt down to the exercise room every other day because my Doctor and DW order it and it's the right thing to do. Likely more the former than the latter.)
  16. I had great pizza on the Joy in October. Very nice surprise. I think NCL has actually come up with a winner here. I'll gladly trade better pizza for somebody pulling down the blanket on my bed every night!!
  17. I honestly first read that as "had it during a funeral before." I've been to several where that would have helped! 🤣
  18. It's easy to pick out the drinkers from the non-drinkers in these threads. 🤣
  19. Offended? I appreciate the entertainment. 😎 Thanks!!
  20. My only concern is that they'll eventually bring it back.
  21. In what world is $319 a night and "free" shuttle a deal?
