  1. This is the least fun dress code thread I've seen. Most are MUCH more clever/humorous/entertaining. I predict an early death....
  2. Nice! They'll be the best "sweatpants" he's ever owned. 😎 From ten feet away, the dress code police will guess that he is wearing black dress pants. 🤣
  3. I'm just seeing blank white pages. Is anybody else able to read these?
  4. Why didn't you just contest it with your credit card company? You only have a certain window of time that you can do that.
  5. Yep. I've been asleep at the wheel on this one, but recently learned it is only $78 for five years. Well worth it. We have the fingerprint appointments the first week in January.
  6. I honestly don't know where to begin. Over the past several weeks I've made advanced reservations for a B2B. Platinum, three meals per leg. As with the other poster, it took about five minutes each and I wasn't charged anything. Why are you using Chat? If you did some research, you would have learned to use FAS credits first when making Moderno bookings and there would be no advance charges.
  7. Which lines were these exactly? Lines to get into the terminal? Security lines? Check-in lines? Lines to board the ship? Lines for the restrooms? Please clarify.
  8. Well, 20 years is limited compared to 100 years, or eternity. It's likely limited by how long they stay in business as NCL.
  9. That's likely the difference. We've sailed out of Seattle twice and MCT once since Covid, and in all cases there was a priority check-in line (we were only Platinum the last two) and priority embarkation (the first called for Gold after Platinum, which we were).
  10. Thanks. I was starting to suspect that. IIRC, the Lagoon villas were slightly more expensive than the Ocean villas, which was likely crappy marketing. Ocean sounds better than beach sounds better than lagoon.
  11. That's funny. DW, DD and I actually carved out an Ikea afternoon several years ago when we were at Universal Studios. We were at the beginning of a major downsizing and looking for some furniture options. Long story short; I'm sitting at an Ikea desk as I type this in a room with Ikea bookcases, Ikea media stand and several other Ikea items. Cheap, lightweight, sturdy, sustainable and darned fun for a retired ex-engineer to assemble! 😎
  12. I quite honestly have not read a single post where somebody was "angry" because others wanted to dress up. Do you have a link? Most are just joking around here. Maybe it's an acquired sense of humor?
  13. The San Diego Model Railroad Museum in Balboa Park is among my favorites. Likely not for most, but some of us were kids in the 50s and 60s.
  14. SMH. I'm "liking" @SeaSharkyet again. I need a drink....
  15. Didn't you mean DFW? (or, any other American hub)
  16. Then why the heck are you asking about "priority" embarkation. You don't want to show up when they start boarding but you want priority? You don't want to be among the first on the ship? Then what would you expect priority to mean?
  17. We appear to be talking about two different things. When I hear "priority embarkation" I think of being in the waiting area when they begin boarding and being able to get on immediately (with the other platinum and above and special assistance). I've done this three times post Covid and it has been the same every time. Also the same is the presence of a Platinum and above express line to get to the check-in counters. I don't know anything about embarking from ports in Panama or other foreign countries, so maybe that's why you experienced something that didn't meet your expectations.
  18. No sale? Where are you seeing that? There is ALWAYS a sale. NCL.com now indicates that we're in the "'Tis the Season Sale." 🤣 Check it out!
  19. That's a good idea, but do you think the chefs on the NCL ships are using thermometers on each steak? We've just resorted to ordering them rare hoping we get something between medium rare and medium.
  20. I never heard of this before. Has anybody else boarded an NCL ship where there are no assigned boarding groups? I can understand that by an hour or two after they start boarding, they may drop the assignment of groups, but I can't believe they would do this from the beginning.
