  1. Epic and POA also lack observation lounges. I'll avoid the six non-HI ships. I will sail the POA again just to revisit HI. I don't consider that one a "real" cruise.
  2. Yeah, I'm totally confused. I'm just not following this.....
  3. Is this a joke? Do you really think that somebody's size would in any way impact the suitability of a studio cabin? 🤣 I'm fairly certain that the door to the cabin is the same width, so if I can fit through the door, then what?
  4. That will all depend on the specific cruise. It is not true across the board.
  5. If I quit saying "free" and just say "I'm paying $100 less than many others," will that be acceptable?
  6. I just checked our last seven day AK cruise. We paid no attention to when we were paying taxes in port for drinks. Between DW and I, we racked up a measly $30 in taxes. That doesn't really take much of a bite out of that $100. I think we'll purposely NOT book one or two common excursions just to have something to use the OBC on. Things like the all day Juneau tram that is free for one person and ~$45 for the other. I'm guessing that if I "splurge" on Bulleit and Crown, I can whittle a few more bucks a day off of the balance.
  7. It's two extra points per night, 3 total per night.
  8. Only on your NCL invoice. You're looking for either "LATITUDE" or "LATDBLX."
  9. The entire US market has been in the toilet. This is all just noise (again). On a positive note, DD put her NCLH order in today. 😎 This is the only individual stock I've ever (willingly) owned and it's less than 2 large worth. I'll hold these shares as long as a) I keep cruising and b) NCL retains the perk. That said, today's price, next year's price, the price in ten years won't make any difference to me.
  10. So you're only getting two points per night instead of the new 3 points per night promo? I rebooked several 2023 sailings when the new offer came out and I'm getting 3 points per night on all of them. None are Suite or Haven. Which latitudes promo codes are listed on your invoice?
  11. Nobody said it was due to a maintenance issue.
  12. I did this for the first time a few weeks ago and received the immediate auto case number and 24 hour response time. The OBC showed up 7 business days later and I never received an amenity invoice.
  13. Did they tell you that it was "blocked for maintenance?"
  14. Yes, like I said, I think we're all on the same page. 😎
  15. I'm confused. All Latitudes members get one point per night. For a long time now, the default bonus has been 1 extra point per night (i.e. double points). Recently, they changed to 2 bonus points per night for many/most 2023 sailings (i.e. triple points). Are you sure you weren't already scheduled to get 24 points?
  16. I'm pretty sure everybody is on the same page here. To @RocketMan275's point, using the NR OBC to purchase CruiseNext certs would make it not available to cover other common expenditures such as taxes paid on drinks while in port, Shorex booked while on board, etc. I'm getting $100 shareholder OBC on my next cruise (first time I've taken advantage of this) and that will likely be consumed by other on-board expenditures, so when I pay $250 for CruiseNext certs, my net cost will still be $250.
  17. Probably not, but if you are just reread the earlier posts in the thread. I think they're pretty clear.
  18. Yes, I know what we were talking about. I made the statement to further illustrate that spinnaker lounge and topsiders and/or great outdoors are different things. This was in response to your suggestion that my buddy was comingling the terms: "I believe when complawyer said spinnaker he was referring to Topsiders, which is an outdoor bar and makes for great viewing."
  19. I'm guessing that this was directed towards me. To answer your question: a) long plane flights, b) lack of access to US healthcare and c) lack of access to US security. "b" and "c" aren't problems until they are.
  20. I hope you're wrong too. That said, it makes zero sense that Black Label was still no up charge, while Bulleit and Crown were.
  21. Thanks. Time for me to jump on this ship. I finally woke up to the shareholder benefit, and will now start taking advantage of this deal. Looking at upcoming final payment dates, I should probably buy at least two on my next cruise.
  22. Thanks. I may have misunderstood, as I thought you had to book a new cruise on a current cruise to buy these. I have a cruise early next year and several bookings later on. Can I buy two CruiseNext certs for $250 to my credit card, come home, and apply $250 to each of two future bookings? That would seem to be a no-brainer.
  23. I've generally ignored these, but am a fan of saving money. Are these things only good for deposits for new bookings?
  24. Thanks. Not this time. Those itineraries sound fantastic, but too far from home for this Cowboy. You'll generally only find me on cruises sailing from and returning to US ports.😎
